I'm a bit confused as some yacht varnish products say they are suitable for floors, and some say not... and some even say not suitable for marine use which goes overmy head!!!
this product link below for example sounds suitable and the price is worth looking at in comparison to some of the others ive seen online.
its a toolstation product... basically im looking for a very tough long lasting coating and yacht varnish was suggested by a floor guy who said "to be honest its they best type of varnish if you weant a gloss,, long llasting, non yellowing finnish, many would say its a no no but thats just floor specialist snobery" that was his words... what do ya think...any comments welcome

I don't think so, yatch varnish is made only for that purpose and is water resistant but at the same time if you walk over it you'll ruin the finish of the floor, the varnish for floors has a hardener agent specially made for that task..☺

We have a yacht and the varnish is really ment just to seal the wood from moisture and keep it looking nice. The varnish gets worn out easily and we have to re-varnish it every year, and this is the stuff on the outside which isnt stepped on.
You're better off not using yacht varnish because its ment to be more resistant to water than durable so if you and others walk on ti every day it'll be completely worn within a month.

I really don't know about the yacht varnish, but you can buy the same stuff they use on gym floors and I have heard that it is the most durable stuff you can get to put on your floors. Some hardware stores carry it and you may be able to find it at Lowes, Home Depot or Menards as well.....in our area I know for sure that Ace Hardware carries it. Good Luck

Okay first every child has heard of the human centipede so many say that they've watched it when they got freaked by the trailer. It's not suitable for a child of 10 it's an 18 for a reason. And it may affect your child's mental health state and development more than you may think. I wouldn't recommend anyone watch it let alone a 10 year old

Use it, turn your computer off now, and do your floors, you obviously have a tin, and it is killing you, go on, varnish your floor, put it on nice and thick.
It is pigging varnish, if it is no good, it will wear off quickly, so sand it down, and try something else!

because of the glaze in yacht varnish if you walked on it in socks you would go **** over in a second. it is designed to repel the elements so you and anyone not walking carefully on it are doomed, doomed i tell you.
