A blood exam recently revealed my dogs liver enzymes are elevated. An ultrasound found a growth the size of a lemon on her liver. Sadie is 151/2 yrs. old. She is very active, has a good appetite. The specialist said nothing else looks abnormal; only the liver.

I don't know what the chances of survival are, but I do know where there's life there's hope.
What size dog is she? most small dogs live to be about 20 human years and larger dogs about 15, But with today's technology our pets are living longer and staying healthy.

she probably has several good months ahead of her. they may try to remove the tumor, but in all probability it will come back. if she were mine, i would let her live out her time in comfort, and when she really begins to decline (can't eat, is in pain, is incontinent) i would have her put to sleep. i just lost my 15 year old kitty to a stroke. i couldn't see her suffer, so i had her put to sleep, and am so glad i did. it was the final loving act i could do for her.
