why are africans more prone to malaria. what makes them prone to it?

They aren't more prone to infection with the organism that causes malaria - malaria is just endemic in some areas of Africa.

My bro-inlaw was just diagnosed with malaria from two missionary trips to Uganda. They (Africans) aren't really more prone to it, unless you count the fact that they are generally malnutritioned, but diseased mosquitoes are everywhere there. That sad part is there, if they can manage to get to the doctor they usually only get the symptoms treated, not the disease.

because they live in an area populated with the specific mosquitos that carry malaria, and in many areas of africa, the climate is perfect for these mosquitos. malaria is a deadly disease, killing millions every year. it isn't the people who live there, it's their environment. in the southern us malaria and yellow fever were serious health problems until modern health practices and public health departments brought the problem under control. control the mosquitos, and you can control malaria.

the people arent prone to malaria, the area is prone to it. look at climates that are ridden with malaria- hot, humid, wet areas. - perfect place for mosquitoes to live, breed, and spread disease.
