Some atheists do. They often are called "strong atheists," because they flat-out believe there is no god.

On the other hand, "weak atheists" merely don't believe there is a god.

So, the strong atheist believe that the nonexistence of God is real. I find it a limiting belief, but I can respect it.

Some of them do. Technically an atheist only needs to lack a belief that God is real, which isn't really the same thing.
