I believe because Jesus changed my life. I was an atheist who found God after reluctantly visiting church a few times. I used to struggle with crippling depression and feelings of hopelessness. It's hard to even imagine those times not. My life has done a 180. All of my dreams have come true and I've moved on to new ones. I have actual friends and many more than I ever had before. I appreciate my family and I see thier love for me. My life is full. I rarely have time to get bored. Jesus did all this for me. He introduced me to God and the blessings haven't stopped flowing since. That's all the proof I need. That's all I need to believe.

I always wondered why i was here. When i would walk alone along the beach, as a teenager i would talk to "God". I would feel so close to whatever that was. So peaceful. I would pray at night to "God" and tell Him to use me. And tell him I wanted to know Him.
I always wondered why when people cursed they said "Jesus" ..but never Buddha or Moses...or whatever ...why that name? Every culture says it as a curse word. Why Jesus?
One night, when I was 24 years old (I'm 52 now) I came home from work and just started talking out loud to "whoever'..."Lord, I have a great life and I'm happy. I have material things and a great husband, but i want you to take control, ok?"
Then I went to bed later, not thinking much about that at all. The next morning when I got up I felt like it was Christmas morning. You know, like when you're really little and you know that Santa has been here? Only this was bigger, and so real. I still didn't know why I was feeling like this
But as the day wore on I wanted to scream to the world that Jesus is real. I didn't know why!!!! It's like I was high on the very best drug in the universe. I felt like everyone was my friend...
I just wanted to love everyone and tell them that they were so loved. I started to thank God for my food before meals, I started telling people that there really was a baby born in a manger...all that stuff...no Bible or anything....
And you know, you can argue parts of the Bible with me, and you can tell me that I am a fool...but no one can tell me that this didn't happen to me, because it did and I was forever changed from that day. I've had good times and hard times and death and despair and sickness, and loss and winning... and through it all I have felt that I was never alone. My FRIEND has never left my side.

The reasons I believe in all that is written in the word of God and all that God says is this:
When I was about nine years old, I watched the movie about Christ being crucified on the cross. Now, I had no one to explain this to me, my parents being church goers and not saved nor did they know anything about the bible enough to teach me.
After seeing this movie, it touched my heart and I cried, it bothered me deep within my spirit. I kept wondering about who this God was. Finally one day when I was 10 years old I was looking up at the sky, I said out loud to the sky, God, if there is a God would you please make yourself know to me, because I want to know you.
Different events took place in my life some good and some bad.
Yet I believe these events were setting up for the answer to my question. Well by the time I turned 23 years old, God answered that 10 year old child's question and he made himself known to me.
That is why I believe in him with all my heart.

The main reason I believe, is because of the Bible. You probably didn't want that answer, so here are some more reasons:
I have felt God's presence.
My life is better after following God.
I have seen a couple of His miracles.
His creation of the universe is obvious to me.
These were just a few...

This is not a serious answer. But my answer is worth considering.
First, Christianity may be a whole bullshit and a big lie. But there is nothing to lose in believing its teaching - there is nothing to lose. On the other hand, it the story of the Savior and Heaven is 100% true and you don't believe, then there is a danger of going into eternal flame. Thus, using simple logic, which one is a better choise?
Then why Jesus? Because He said He is the only Way to return to God the Father. Again, this may be true or not. But what if it is true, and you don't believe in Him? If this is wrong and you believe in it, there is nothing to lose.

I don't know if you'd call me a ture christian. I do believe in there exist a creator who try to have his believers write a book on him. But the mistake that I think may have been made when GOD spoke to these prophets that they tend to become biased and having the righteous to tell things as they see and not as God sees. That's what the problem is, at least for me. Like I say I do believe but it's in my heart. I do not have to use the Bible as proof.

I take it that you are speaking about believing in God?
The reason Christians believe in God is because God has led us to Him and asked us to accept His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ as our Lord and payment for the sins we have committed.
The Christian Elect were chosen before the foundations of this world age that we now live in. You do know that there are three world ages do you not? We are in the second now and there is one to come. ( 2nd Peter )
There is also a free will choice for people to make that are not part of the Election. To accept or to reject. Its up to all to make this choice.
When I was a little boy, not more than five years old, I sensed something inside of me that made me think of God and just who He is. I have grown much in my faith over the last fifty five years and never once neglected God in my life.
What's your reason for believing?><>

That is a good but difficult question to answer. That question is like asking how do you know you love your children? It is almost impossible to answer. I truly wish I could give an articulate answer so I could be a great voice for God but I am not. However, i do believe, I know with all my heart that their is a God and he sent His son to be my salvation. I have seen truly amazing things happen in my life in which no other explanation makes sense.

Great question. God placed in each of us a desire to know Him and an innate knowledge of Him. Just like I wondered about, searched for & found my biological parents, I wondered about, searched for & found my Father. I followed other religions & was not satisfied until I read "The Signature of God" by Grant Jeffrey which provided scientific & factual proof I needed to believe that God was real :-)

I believe in God because I believe in my existence. I believe in evolution, but that God specially created the universe out of nothing, and that he had some role in evolution, such as the institution of natural selection.
I believe in Jesus Christ because I see the New Testament as the logical continuation of the Hebrew Scriptures.
I believe in the Bible because prophecy and harmony have proven the Bible to me.
