If, answer is yes, where do I inquire? I am unable to get info from the person I sponsered.

Where you the one who sent in the papers? if so... then you should have gotten a reciept #. Something like EAC - ## - ### - #####. It should be something similar to this. If you did then go to the www.uscis.gov and scroll down. On the right hand side at the very bottom you will see... "enter case #." You can track info through this. The question is why are you unable to get information from the person you sponsored! You cannot access the status of the application online without a notice of receipt number! USBCIS only updates it after a decision is made, so you may be wasting your time! Even though you may have done the Affidavit Of Support together with I- 485, they usually mail answers to the applicant! If neither of you have any answers, give it some more time or call USBCIS hot line! Permanent Resident cards (green card ) can take a long time depending on your location or circumstances of your particular case!

Try to go to the ins in your area. I'm not sure but i know it takes time but it may be worth it. good luck.
