My brother-in-law wants to know. He wants to grow a banana tree in Florida.

seeds are in the banana itself...they are very small and black...look down at the base of the banana, not the top where you begin peeling it from.

Banana trees grow from underground rhizomes (like what iris flowers grow from). To get additional ones they slice off and plant pieces of the large rhizome so that they grow as separate plants.

Don't waste your time worry about seeds - they are not too helpful for your purpose.

in side of the banana those little black things that you see in the center are the seeds. well good luck with that.

Bananas are sterile, have no seeds, propagation is always vegetative.
