Put up a ladder or make sure there is a way for her to get back down inside. She is probably "nesting" and may even be in labor. Let her have her babies in peace. It is natural for cats to hide their babies. It's for their protection. She will come down when she's hungry. Also, set up a box in the garage with blankets. She will move her babies down when she realizes that it's too cold up there for them.

Congrats on your new family members!

Is there an entrance into the attic such as a pull down ladder?? Next, is there a window from the outside--have to use a ladder to enter that window.. None of the above?? Don't know

Some cats during delivering will scream out but the most or all of mine would make no noise at all. It may just be wanting out--not stuck or delivering.

I doubt she's stuck. She probably just found a sneaky way in there and thought it was a good place to have her babies. The strange meowing you're hearing is probably babies... they sound kinda funny. If she stays up there more than a day or two... I'd get someone to go up in the attic (there must be an access door somewhere... even if it's just to a crawlspace).

Please though... get her fixed. If she had babies, you'll have to wait till they're weaned... but as SOON as they are... and I mean the DAY she thinks they're old enough... she'll be out making more babies. I'm not kidding. You'll have another litter on the way by the time these guys are 8 weeks old. PLEASE... get her fixed ASAP.

If you can't feel her nipples, the chances are she isn't pregnant. Our cat had very predominate nipples and we knew for sure (before anyone bags me out for not getting her fixed, SHE WAS A STRAY WE RESCUED AND SHE WAS ALREADY PREGNANT - so stop spamming my email abusing me).

Give her a while, she'll come down when she's hungry. If you don't see her until tomorrow then you will need to get someone to help you.

Animal Control can help you. Call them. They are connected to the police department in your area. You can either look in the yellow pages or online for their phone number--just Google "Animal Shelter" and your town's and state's names. The Animal Control in my town stops business at 10 pm, but the Control in my mom's town is open all night. So call soon just in case!

probably she gave birth to kittens but you should just check on her to see if shis ok. bring her food close to her and water but dont be too nosy , because if she feels that her kittens are in danger she will take them one by one and move them. if shis stock somewhere the best way to see if she isnt hurt is by letting her smell her favorite dish ... turst me if she ok , she will come out
