What a horrible insult to the military, saying uneducated people got stuck in Iraq. That would piss me off so much if I was in the service. It takes, brains, bravery, strength, agility, and cunningness to be a military warrior. They operate high tech weapons, navigate complex terrain, drive huge machinery, and fly the most sophisticated aircraft ever conceived. Military training is the most efficient form of education known to mankind!! Soldiers learn more in one morning than a beer drinking time-wasting class-skipping college freshman learns in four years. Every one of our US warriors has 1000x more brains than that moron Kerry. Thank God the people never elected that buffoon. Imagine the chaos we would be with that dufus as a president. Criminy!

I don't believe that people saying only dummies without options go into the military. People without options go on welfare.

I have a medical condition that disallows me from joining the service, and I feel like I have been robbed of that opportunity. I would have given anything to join the military, be a pilot or a tank driver, or a military strategist. At least the field I went into helps develop technology for the military so I can help them in some way. My dad was a brilliant man who joined the military. He had plenty of choices. The Army gave him character, discipline, and honed his talents and intelligence in many ways. He was a great man and warrior of the Korean War.

John Scary Kerry is a blithering idiot who has a silver spoon stuck up his rectum. He should be imprisoned for sheer stupidity and gross ugliness

I can't believe the number of people answering on this website agreeing with John Kerry that the military is for stupid or incapable adults. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Remember that Kerry himself was once in the military before he committed virtual treason.

One reason why I think Kerry is so anti-military is the fact that the military has typically voted Republican every time. In Kerry's mind that would make them stupid. For everyone else, you should stop and think about what it means that our military supports Bush even with the mess in Iraq. The front line people really believe that sticking it out is the best option. They don't want to go home in disgrace. They have a job to do, which is to defend the rights of idiots like John Kerry to their freedom of speech among other rights and freedoms.

Do you notice CNN is trying to cover up for John Kerry's Blunder? The true fact is Kerry do believe soldiers are dumb and have no choice but to join themilitary because they don't have the brains or money to go to college. If a Liberal actually tells the public what they really think, they would not be electable, so they lie as to what they believe to survive. Ask Bill Clinton, he is a walking lie machine. Now, about CNN, if CNN was not on the side of the Democrats, they would not be trying to spin this to help Kerry. CNN is spinning this as an attack on Bush, which it obviously is not. Bush has a Harvard Business Degree, so he is educated. Kerry is seen for what he truely believes and that is the military is made up of dummies.

Yeah , you should thank god in getting a president who has never worn a uniform in his life. And so they will know exactly what the soldiers in field are feeling who are ACTUALLY under fire. And you along with other drawing room generals can pass judgement.
Does these arm chair generals have kids who are in the military?? If they don't have does it mean they don't have smart / intelligent/ brave kids?? more like , like father , like son.
And leaving the Brave Soldiers in the slaughter house is far far better for some people who don't have anyone in iraq . Does anyone know what they are fighting for?? Does Bush know when he will achieve victory?? Who is going to flush out the al qaida from iraq now?? ( Saddam was fighting al qaida before . He was a counter weight to Iran. Now Iran became bigger. They thumb their noses everyday at you. What do you do now?? A president with a vision?? president very much SHORT SIGHTED!!)
We made mistakes , the govt say.And then say We will stay the course. So even when we are wrong , we are going to endanger the lives of the soldiers further just because we can't be seen backing down , eh?? he doesn't have anyone on ground. He never was in military. Kerry was in Nam?? where was Bush then??

It was taken out of context and is fodder for Republicans to support their faltering prescence. Less and less people are believing their eyes. They have to draw attention somewhere.

Kerry was speaking about Bush's lack of academic achievements and what he could have accomplished had he applied himself.

If Bush was more intelligent he would have found a way to get out (or never go in) of Iraq.

But, and I'll be the only one to say this, everyone I know that went into the military in this generation did so because they had no other options. Kids, a wife, bills, make the guaranteed pay of the military sound good. All of them had a substandard education of didn't apply themselves.
Not to say that everyone in the military is an underachiever, they have some of the best minds working for them, but the ones joining up at the grunt level usually do so because most other doors in life are closed to them.

He is a bored pompous limousine liberal who is a typical Democrat. They complain about everyone and everything but offer no solutions or vision.

He said the mistake was he misread the text that was written for him. He is like Ron Burgandy reading the teleprompter. What a mimbo.

The gracious thing about the brave soliders in Iraq is they are above him and will still work to protect him because no matter how sorry he is , we still live in a country where people are aloud to say stupid things.

finally a democrat that speaks their mind in public. and to the person above he did not apologize. he said " i apologize to no one"
does this mean that he calls himself dumb? does this mean he is calling Cindy Sheehan's son dumb? no wonder Howard Dean called him back to Washington today to keep him away from the cameras. 98% of the US military consists of high school grads, and 96% of officers are college grads. so bite on that Kerry and go back and help your wife make ketchup.

I would calm down. He was referring to the ingorant chicken hawks who fraudulantly misled this nation into a bogus war.
Neither Bush or any of his neocon pals understand anything about Arab history, culture, society or Islam in general. Maybe THIS is why we are in Iraq bogged down in an unwinnable war.

Please allow me to ask a few questions, how many times has the US Military lowered the standards to be able to meet their quotas?

Look at "EVERYONE" who has been arrested for violating the Rules of the Geneva Convention what is behind their names. I am serious go look and see! High school drop out, could not find work and were troubled.

May-be he was saying what everyone else is scared to say, he is right!

God Bless You, Them and the Southern People

Kerry has always hated the military. Since the 1970's he has consistently demonstrated his disrespect for the military. In fact it is amusing to note that as a senator - he voted against every one of our most useful military systems.
