The Greenhouse effect which leads to the earths surface temperature increasing !

Greenhouse effect caused by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere - the worst being Carbon Dioxide which is caused by the burning of fossil fuels by man.

What happens if the planet heats up - the ice caps melt causing widespread flooding.

Trees absorb atmospheric Carbon Dioxide but the effect being reduced due to de-forestation.

God I'm depressed now

Hope this helps

The main question for the world is the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Is this real? To those who claim it isn't I've got bad news. In the middle 60s the atmosphere had about 300ppm CO2. In 1976 I personally measured 320ppm. In 1989 I personally measured 345ppm. These measurements were averages over a few days in a relatively unpolluted region, 25km from the east coast of Australia with easterly breezes blowing, ie the wind was coming from over the sea. Recently averages have been over 360ppm.

Chemical and thermal are 2. it somewhat is led to by potential of using combos of chemical which Nature has no longer worked out the thank you to degrade in a rapid way yet. PCB case in point, dioxin for yet another. Thermal could be led to by potential of industry, potential technology, and so on. we are able to decrease waste and use renewable potential to help.
