Do not use ice that is the worst for a burn water at room temperature should be used immediately after incident. I am guessing it's too late for that though. To prevent perminent scaring use a product with glycerol in it best would be Vaseline, body butter ect. Arnaka cream is amazing for burns but I think you can only buy it in new Zealand. Pretty much you will have a scar for a month if you apply the cream each day it will slowly fade. I burnt myself a month ago with tongs and the scar is already gone!

My husband had 3rd degree burns on legs and hands, I took care of him for 18 months - I know burns pretty good! Put some neosporin on it and keep it clean you could cover with band aid). After the bubble leaks (you could cover with band aid) put real aloe (best from plant leaf) on it to reduce scar.

you should be absolutely fine and there's no need to go to the doctor. if the burn still hurts apply a cool washcloth and alleviate the pain, apply Neosporin or any other antibacterial lotion to the burn to promote healing and prevent infection. the burn should heal fine in no time :) good luck
