NO they do not, although they have overall cleaner mouths. (an interesting paradox to be sure) The teeth build up plaque much quicker than humans due to lack of brushing, but the enzymes in their mouths kill more germs then human saliva, so the MOUTH is cleaner, but the teeth are not ;)

Depends on the dog (and the people, lol). I've seen dogs with great teeth and people with horrible ones.
Dogs who get a lot of raw bones and other good chew stuff, and who do NOT get canned food often have very clean teeth... but I'd still guess mine are cleaner since I brush every day.

Unfortunately there isn't a single answer to this question. Both dogs and humans alike have many germs in their mouths (even after brushing) and they both should be considered equally as dirty. Although brushing and flossing are extremly important in keeping your teeth healthy, it does not prevent your mouth from having tons of germs, most of which are produced from our own saliva. The human mouth (no matter how much you brush) will never be germ free. The same applies for your pooch, although dogs are born with a different enzyme in their saliva to help cut down on the amount of bacteria they carry it is still no match for the germs your 4 legged friends can pick up. Brushing your pooch's teeth is an excellent way to keep your K-9's teeth healthy. They make special toothbrushes and a variety of toothpaste flavors for your pet. This may be hard for some pet owners to do expecially if your dog is older and youve never come at him with a toothbrush. But if youve been brushing his teeth sence he was a pup hes allready used to it and may even enjoy the attention (or mabey its the liver flavored toothpaste - yuchh).Hard crunchy dog food and some types of doggie bones are helpful in removing the plaque that can build up on his teeth, as well. So as much as us humans try to keep our mouths clean with the many products on the market we will never be germ free and no matter how "clean" the saliva produced in a dogs mouth is, its only clean untill he decides that now is as good a time as any to show you how good he is at keeping his butt clean, but only after 'good ol Rex' has sniffed your other dog 'fluffys' butt for the 25th time (today alone) oh and if your pooch is anything like mine than dont forget the daily visit to the kitty litter box (we call that a turd burgular). So i guess its a matter of opinion on who's mouth is cleaner... oh one more thing its NOT benificial for a dog to lick a wound on himself or on you. This is..for lack of a better word..a 'old wives tale' when a dog licks his wound its because its uncomfortable and he doesn't know what else to do for it. A small amount for licking is ok to initially help clean out debris but continued licking only causes irritation and infection. Hope this info helps you:)

A dogs mouth has germs like a humans mouth. But the thing is, a dog has stuff in it's saliva that can heal wounds. If you cut your self and have a dog keep on licking it, it will heal twice as faster if you would put some kind of cream on it. Be sure to brush your dogs teeth or get the dog food that has stuff in it to clean your dogs teeth.

Not unless you brush the dog's teeth every day. They can get pretty nasty if not brushed.

dog mouths are really clean because dog saliva is really clean because dogs use it to clean their body but they do eat poop and other crap. so i wouldn't make out with a dog no matter how clean their mouth is.
