"A large man who eats a very large amount" is NOT going to LIVE very long. If he is "eating as much as he can," he needs to STOP doing that!
I am well over 200 lbs. (210 actually) I have been there for at least 4 years now. I don't eat any more than my 12 year old son (at 95 lbs) or my wife (at 115 lbs!) If I had continued to eat twice as much as they do, (which I was doing) I would today weigh about 450 lbs!
Your man needs to a) start eating exactly what a NORMAL person would eat and b) start exercising at least 1/2 hour EVERY day or he WILL DIE very soon!
If he MUST eat lots, then feed him LESS sugars, LESS fats, LESS carbos, LESS junk and more fresh fruits and vegetables and more proteins!

First try breads...pasta, pan pizza, rolls with the meal. Breads are filling and wont add the expense of doubling your meals.
Here is an easy Breakfast meal:
Ingredients:
6-8 eggs
1 tube of sausage (crumbled, cooked and drained)
or/and bacon (cooked and crumbled)
1 and 1/2 cup shredded cheese
1 package crescent rolls
Directions:
preheat oven to 350
grease a 9 inch pie pan (glass works best)
unroll crescent roll dough - keeping it whole
line pie pan with dough forming it around sides
(if it messes up just make a big ball and roll it back out)
scramble your eggs adding seasoning (a little hot sauce is good, if you don't like it hot try just a couple of drops)
pour about 1/2 the eggs in
add the meat and 1 cup of the cheese
pour in the rest of the eggs
put in oven for 20 - 30 minutes
about half way sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top
You can also prepare this the night before, just refrigerate till ready to cook. This may add a couple minutes to cooking time

Do him a favor and stop him from eating so much. It will come as quite a shock to him later when his metabolism changes and he is stuck with the wrong eating habits. Believe me, I know.
