Yacht varnish is designed to withstand weather, salt water and UV, whereas floor varnish has a much harder finish to resist wear and tear and abrasions.
Most varnishes are predominantly the same, but specialist varnishes such as floor varnish, yacht varnish have a different chemcal composition specifically for the purpose it was designed.

Yacht varnish is designed as an exterior varnish, much in the same ways outdoor paint is designed.

It's not advised for use of floors mainly due to the chemicals in them. As it is for use outdoors, the varnish needs to be able to withstand far greater abuse from weather than it would experience inside on a flooring, and therefor the chemical compound is totally different.
