I have curly hair. The curls are really big and round, which would be nice if I had long hair, but I have a short, layered cut, so the best look is with straight hair. All the straightening I do is very damaging to my hair, and I wouldn't have to do it as much if I had even just a little straight hair. Please help me!! I wake up at 5:45 in the morning just to do my hair!

I have curly hair, and I think chemical straightening is an all or nothing deal. I've had my hair chemically straightened before and I have to say it's the worst thing I ever did to my hair. It damaged it do the point where I lost about 1/4 of the thickness of my hair (luckily my hair is really thick). It changes the texture so that it kind of feels like yarn instead of hair and it removes alot of the shine. If you want to straighten your hair do it with a good ceramic iron (I use Paul Mitchell) and BioSilk serum. Makes my hair super straight and shiny. As for semi permanent hair color. It does fade with washing, but your hair will never look the same. It's slightly more permanent than they let on. Plus, those blonde dyes in the box look funny to me. If you're going to go blonde than do it with bleach... but truthfully, I think you should just stick with your natural color and texture. You'll save yourself alot of damage, and once you change it I'm sure you'll miss it after a while. I know I did.

You'll have to look around. There are a lot of shampoos that are meant to help you achieve straight hair. Frizease makes one. Just remember that you still have to blow dry it straight. The shampoo will not do it alone.
