I have a bunch of old rare VHS tapes that cannot normally be bought on DVD. I want to transform the VHS tapes into playable DVD formats. I do have a DVD burner and VHS player, but I do not know how to go about transferring VHS data to a DVD.

Thank you.

At home, I don't know. I do know that some places will do the transfer for you (for a reasonable price). I took one of our tapes to our Wal-Mart SuperCenter and they did it for around $10 (I think). I know it wasn't too bad.

Windows Media 10 will do it but you need to have video and audeo inputs on your pc.
There are some divices you can use also. see the link below

I think you would do best to go to a good computer store and ask, they will put you in touch with someone who does it well.
