It a mental think, like when someone yawns, then you have to yawn, your mind has in a way been trained to connect certain items and actions to reactions(i.e. having to pee cause that is what you assoicate a toilet with)

In your mind, you're thinking about "going".

If you can keep your mind off it, you'll get there. Believe it or not this works. I've done it. Depending on the urgency sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't though. Concentrate on something else.

You know what it feels like to not need to go, right? Mentally concentrate on that feeling of not having to go. Don't just think it, psyche yourself into feeling it. Get your brain into believing it, even for a few seconds. The more adept you get at remembering the "feeling", the easier it will be to get there.

The urgency factor is a key element however.

Subliminal responses and a Pavlovian effect cause that. You're trained from a toddler's age to associate potty=using it. Same thing happens when you see someone yawn - sympathetic responses and all that.

I think peeing is not only a physical thing but a mind thing also. Notice you may have'ft to pee real bad sometimes but then you get your mind on something, and then you don't have to go as bad. Coincidene? Maybe. :) arum

your sight tells your brain that pretty much, there is a toilet available and it is possible for you to go right now. you might as well do it while you have time. for example, you are able to wait longer if you are stuck in traffic for example because your brain tells your body to wait up!
