Northwest is not our favourite Airlines (Singapore or Cathay Pacific are); but it is one of the more direct airlines where we choose to fly. We fly out of Detroit. Very convenient to fly to Vietnam. It doesn't give a lot of extras as some of the other airlines do. Cheers

They've made alot of neccessary changes in the last year to help bring them out of bankruptcy. On time rating is very good of the legacy carriers. Excellent customer service due fact many employees based in the friendly midwest..."Minnesota Nice". Oldest fleet in the industry is being replaced gradually. Excellent network with KLM and most direct routes to Asia of any carrier.

Domestically, NWA is still flying ALOT of of DC-9 and DC-10 aircraft. These are getting quite old in age and even are going to be replaced with the new Boeing 787 series of aircraft.
The full savings of using the B787 versus the DC9's and DC10 is going to be staggering.

Northwest is not too bad. Have had a couple of delays with them before. Overall, not too bad. However, after a $1.2 billion loss, I am starting to think again that they may not survive bankruptcy.

For international travel, its the best. You have in-seat TV's and a couple meals. There is so many flight attendants on the plane, that once you press the button, they are there. And all of them can partially speak the native language. At least that was for me.

Not a fan. A lot of their employees are fairly rude. I work for an airline and all of us at the other airlines avoid them. They're not called "NorthWorst" for nothing.
