I was at the Met last week, and as always, we dined at Jean Georges. Amazing meals we had. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here yet! The service is impeccable as well. Follow the link and see for yourself. Jean Georges is an exquisite Chef!

Go to Cafe Luxembourg at 200 W 70th St, New York, NY 10023 - (212) 873-7411. It's a charming French bistro only a few blocks from the Met. The food and atmosphere are wonderful.

The above answers are good, as is Picholine on West 64th, just east of Broadway. If you are looking for something a little more "value concious" Fiorello's is good. It's on Broadway a block south off Lincoln Center.

Patsy's Italian Restaurant on 56th between 8th Ave and Broadway! They have a website. Their chef is amazing!!! Might even see a celebrity while you are there too!! I met Rudy G when I was there last time!!
