ok so i am a shy guy and i finally got the courage to ask this girl i work with to give me her phone number and she did without hesitation. then i call her and ask if she wants to go see a movie and she said yes in what i took to be a truly happy tone. like she was excited almost. then she said ill have to talk to my mom and ill give you a call before tues. well when wed. rolled around(the day of our date)i tried to call her to find out when and where to pick her up and no answer. i thought ok no big deal ill leave her a message. then i get a call back and its her friend saying that she left her phone over there but shell have her call me. does this mean that she wasnt truly happy that i asked her out or did she really just leave her phone at her friends house??? oh and if it helps every time ive talked to her she seemed interested in me and i know that she knew i was interested in her because i talked to her alot and flirted alot

Hello Oops, Sweetheart you are putting to much thought into this. You have said that she gets along with you really well at work and the both of you even flirt. Trust me ,,,,,,,, things happen ,,,she was probably in a hurry and forgot her phone and she was probably unable to make it ,,,,,,,,,just ask her if she is okay and if she would like to take a raincheck on the movie or dine out. No matter what happened, the important thing is to stay relaxed and realize that life's going to go on for you either way. If you get too intense you'll convey that to her and it will push you away. It won't matter if initially she left her phone, or if her mom said no and she was embarrassed (all in your favor); if you act like it might have been deliberate, ultimately it will be.

Next time you see her just ask her if it would be ok if you asked her out again sometime.....wait a week or so and ask again. If the same thing happens again, forget about it! But if she is interesting in you than she will probably bring it up first and apologize....or at least she should.

I think she really did leave it but i think she is also shy maybe if you take it slow and ask her to go to lunch with you at work and just talk. Good luck

just be straight up and tell her if that you like her and that if she is interested in you ask her out again and if this time she makes up something then their you know she is lying. good luck
