Souls are fictional. There is no evidence that proves that we do have souls, its just a matter of belief. No one can correctly answer this question because it is a total matter of opinion.

Nobody knows that, honey, not even people who insist they do. Everyone is just guessing, and people who tell you you're going to hell are just hateful. But regardless, you certainly aren't going to find the answer on Yahoo - only people's beliefs.
I heard a beautiful explanation in a movie once and will try to remember it:
"Some people believe that when you die, there's a beautiful light, as bright as the sun, but it doesn't hurt to look into it. All the answers to all the questions you ever wanted to know are inside that light, and when you go to it, you become a part of it forever".
I don't think there's any difference how you die, but if you take your own life, I do believe that the soul has some powerful counseling and teaching given it, and since I believe in reincarnation, I believe someone who suicides still must resolve all their issues before they're allowed to return. So they aren't gaining anything. But I also believe that the thing we find in the afterlife that doesn't exist on this plane is absolute compassion and love.
So those are my beliefs. Make of them what you will - there are a lot of others on here, I'm sure.
Good luck, hon. Blessed Be.

First, ask yourself why you are asking your first question? Are you thinking about taking such action? Are you just curious and seeking possible answers? Are you seeking something more?
My best advice is if you are seeking true wisdom, ask someone who truely knows the answer. I do not believe you will find many proper answers here.
For most (if not all) of us, it is a matter of faith. We believe in this or that, because we were brought up in those ways. Sometimes, we challange what we are taught, especially in our younger years. This is normal, I believe. We seek out other truths to find wisdom, to find answers which fit our basic beliefs.
Personally, I was brought up as a Christian and believe that (the possibility of) Heaven awaits us when we die. I also believe that by taking our own life or the life of another, we cannot attain a life in Heaven. Others do not believe as I do and we are all welcome to choose our own faiths (or the lack of one).
None of us truely knows what happens after death. All of us are free to choose a belief about this. Some believe more strongly than others, but in reality ... it is all based on faith.
Seek such wisdom from a much higher source. We all have to begin somewhere.
Best wishes on your journey.

The Ol' Sasquatch Ü
BTW - REC and others - In the 50's and 60's people who were about to die were (with their permission) placed on scales and weighed. At the moment of death, their weight changed! It was a very small change, but change it did. The thoughts in that time period were that the soul has weight and when it leaves the body, the weight changes.
I have not heard of any studies since then, against this theory! Comments are welcome. Ü

Killing yourself is no different from dying by any other means as far as the fate of your soul is concerned... all souls find a loving home after death. But don't give up on this world just yet... it has lamas and candy and lots of nice things (I'm not being silly, just expressing the depths and diversity of lived experience)

Your soul or spirit is an actual part of God. It is an actual part of God this very moment as you read this. This truth about the spirit part of you will never change.
When you die nothing happens to your soul at all.
It remains there with God where it has always been.
This is why the idea of a judgmental punishing God has never made any sense. If God were to ever actually punish someone he would actually be punishing himself.
how likely is that?

Hi
A serious question I presume but not much help on the answers.
Some fundamentalist Christians would say that the soul of a suicide victim would go to hell due to the fact that they believe that suicide is the "unpardonable sin".
Sorry, I don't serve such a small God. The God who created us knows us inside and out. Scripture in the Bible says that He knows the number of hairs on our head (easier to count every year in my case). This is a description of the completeness of how much He knows us. Today, we could easily say that He has counted the atoms in the molecules that make up our body - and carry the intent of that Scripture correctly.
It stands to reason then, that such an all knowing God, who also loves us beyond description, would see and understand the mental processes of one contemplating suicide. You think we feel sad when a loved one dies? Multiply that by thousands, or more, and that is how sad God is when one of His creations dies.
Is suicide a normal way of life? Certainly not! To contemplate suicide (not considering suicide bombers which are in another category), one must be thinking that this life is impossibly hopeless and unbearable or something along those lines. Such a thinking process is incorrect (there is always some way out) and leads to incorrect behavior (suicide). Incorrect thinking processes that lead to incorrect behavior are indicators of mental illness - not normal human life. Do you think that God would punish someone who arrives at a certain behavior choice because they are ill? I don't think so either.
Not that anyone should draw any conclusions that suicide is OK or anything. It is certainly not. Many, many of us came from and through "impossible" situations - some of us more than once. Yet we are living proof that such situations are truely temporary - we lived through them and came out the other end. Sometimes damaged, sometimes hurting, but alive and kicking!
In my case, I inherited two different conditions that, no matter what my behavior, will shorten my life considerably. I have taken good care of myself, get medical assistance and follow the advice of the doctors but still will die before my time. Hopeless? Not in the least. Hey, my mother died at 33 and I've outlived her! Four years ago, I died three times on the operating table - according to my surgeon. But I'm still here! Everyday that I wake up is, well, a sort of a celebration! Sure, I have limitations caused by my failing health but I can't change them. I can change my attitude and my reaction to my problems - and that makes all the difference. I do not look inwards and say "woe is me" but, by choice, look outwards seeking someone that I can help in some way. Sometimes, I can do some good and that day is a success!
Of course, I'm not saying that I do this alone. I receive a lot of help from God and His people called Christian. BTW, not everyone who attends church or says that they are one, are actually Christians. That's a subject for another discussion.
So, what of your question? I believe that the soul of those too young to choose or disabled enough to not be able to choose are covered "by the blood of Jesus" so to speak and will go to be with Him in heaven. Although there is no Scripture to back up my belief, I think that by looking at the actions of Jesus towards the destitute, sick and downtrodden, my belief is the correct one.
Hell is the destination of those who continuously and completely reject the repeated attempts by God to convince them to choose to follow Him instead of their own selfishness. No one is "sent" to Hell, they choose to go there by rejecting God. A person who is mentally ill cannot make such a choice once much less repeatedly and so will not go to hell, in my personal belief.
Any help??
Please write if this is a personal thing with you because suicide is NEVER the correct answer, there is help and there are those who love God and love you enough to want to help you.

man/woman is a soul(Genesis2:7)(Corinthians15:35)(Joshuah11:11)
The soul is flesh and blood, it can die(Jeremiah2:34)(Leviticus7:18)(Ezekiel18:4)
even animals are souls according to the Bible(Numbers31:28) (Leviticus24:18)(Revelation16:3)
So when you die your soul no longer exists just like you!

I am a priestess of the goddess, Isis, and in my religion we believe that all souls go to the Afterlife. However, in the case of a suicide, then the soul must return to Earth for a long period until it can find a release from its self-focused act,
