Everything causes cancer. The air you breath can cause cancer. Lotions, makeup and beauty products which contain parabens and sulfates can cause cancer. Flouride can cause cancer. Foods that arent organic can cause cancer. Sex with multiple partners can actually cause cervical cancer in women. Hormones can cause cancer, such as not having enough progesterone can cause breast cancer. Not drinking enough water can cause breast cancer and prostate or testicular cancer. A study showed that women who drank 8 glasses of water a day had a 75% less chance of getting breast cancer and men who drank 8 glasses of water a day had a 50% less chance of get prostate and testicular cancer. Plastic that is heated can cause cancer. Chemicals and asbestos can cause cancer. Styrofoam can cause cancer. Aluminum and metals can cause cancer among other diseases and ailments. Not going to the bathroom regularly can cause cancer among other ailments. Fake sugar can cause cancer. Cotton that isnt organic can cause cancer (cotton is the most cheaply produced crop in the world, imagine what goes into it) soap and detergents can cause cancer. sun can cause cancer. PRETTY MUCH EVERTHING THESE DAYS CAN CAUSE CANCER. Speaking from a medical standpoint we already have cancer, being exposed to these things can awaken the cancer in our cells and therefore grow into the cancer. I am not a doctor or anything but I am a nutritionist and naturalist and I have done my research...

It really just depends on the type of cancer...some cancers are hereditary, and if the situation is right, some cells can go bad and cause cancer. Other cancers are formed when people dont take really good care of their body, too much sun for instance can cause skin cancer. Now adays they are finding too much of certain types of food and cause some cancers, its rare though.

Cancer is caused by a cell growth mutation. Cells start to grow faster than the normal rate. This causes a tumor. Not all tumors are cancerous, but some are.

Well I think no body knows for sure...
Some people believe that it´s caused by inner disease, like frustrations, and traumas...I truly believe on that, if you don´t work well your feelings it could come to you one day or another with a bad reaction...
Some people think its hereditary achieved but it´s not proved...
Some other think that you born marked...there at your DNA is printed a cancer mark such how depending how you live it certainly will happen...
Some other think our industrial way of life has brought cancer...microwave, biological engineering, pesticides and etc have brought that to our body...
I think it´s a sum of factors, psychological, hereditary and etc.

cancer is caused when a cell mutates and reproduces infinitely and takes up too much space and begins to kill off other cells due to this. Anything can cause cells to become inactive and just multiply constantly.

Many things like smoking, exposure to hazards chemicals, sunlight(ultra violet) & a great number of other causes. Scientists are still trying to diagnose the causes & methods of prevention. Hopefully one day they'll succeed>

What you eat. What you drink. What you breath.
Eat only organic foods. Don't smoke or hang out where others do, although there are other toxins in the air......from cars, factories, etc.
Limit or stay away from alcohol.
Also, there may be some genetic factors which are out of your control.

Boy---if anyone could truly answer that...they could rule the world!!
Some suspects:
Smoking, hereditary, asbestos exposure, radiation exposure, carcinogens like re dye #2, aspartame or other fake sugar, exposure to chemicals, second hand cigarette smoke....
Nobody knows, for sure.
