It eats away from your bones (kind of an opposite effect from milk). It takes calcium from your bones.

Coca cola contains caffeine, a highly addictive drug that affects the central nervous system. It also contains the equivalent of 6 tablespoons of sugar in a regular can.
Recent studies indicate it causes bones to crumble. The stuff should be banned.

It will make me fat and bloated. More likely to have diabetes. Also I feel acidly when its inside me. I haven't had coca cola in months and when I do drink it, my throat gets a stingy feeling.

Coca-cola is high in sugar, acids, and caffeine. Heavy consumption can lead to tooth decay, caffiene addiction, and possibly stomach ulcers. It's also known to cause the calcium to leach out of your bones.

I use cola to clean the brasses on my front door- when they get really grubby and i'm having a spring clean i'll remove the brass number, letter box cover, knocker and key guard and soak them in the coke... it'll bring the brasses up nice and shiney...
try it with an old copper coin ...
anyhoo- if it can do that to brass then i'd not like to even think what its doing to your innards ..
on the other hand- i'm a true believer of 'everything in moderation'
...enjoy!!

Soft drinks have long been suspected of leading to lower calcium levels and higher phosphate levels in the blood. When phosphate levels are high and calcium levels are low, calcium is pulled out of the bones. The phosphate content of soft drinks like Coca -Cola and Pepsi is very high, and they contain virtually no calcium.
Soft drink consumption in children poses a significant risk factor for impaired calcification of growing bones.
Soft drink consumption may be a major factor for osteoporosis as they are high in phosphates but contain virtually no calcium.
