That depends. You can petition the court for an expungment of the felony. If that is your only offense, and you have had a productive 15 years, I would say, go for it. It is basically the same thing as a dismissal. On job apps they always ask, 'have you ever had a felony conviction...blah blah'. It is always followed by the clause, 'If you have had an expungment or records sealed.....(something like this) you do not need to list it'. They also say 'any marijuana conviction beyond two years' no need to list.... HAH...
Go figure.....
It is worth a shot.

Yes is certain cases. It depends on the nature of the Felony, and the nature of the offender. The Courts (Judges/D.A.'s/Public Defenders) have a certain amount of latitude as far as charges go. A first time offender can be given a Plea Bargain, while some repeat offenders are given the Max amount of time possible. It also has to do with what Society dictates. After all most Court officers at the state or local level are elected. So, if the people in the area would run the Judge or D.A out of office, then they won't lower it to a Misdemeanor. Also if depends on the offender...1) is he likely to repeat the offense, if given Mercy.
2) can the offender be given help , outside of incarceration 3) Has the offender been a help to Law Enforcement to stop this form happening again(gave info, Snitched ect)
But to answer your question...Yes it can be reduced...possibly depends on the statues of that area..is some areas (Drug manufacture/delivery/sale or possession) can not by local or State laws be plead down to a Misdemeanor.

in case you finished your probation, you're able to have a legal arrest on your list and a misdemeanor conviction on your list. Its 2 quite some issues. you may want to be arrested for Straling a automobile( legal) yet be charged with embezlement (Misdemeanor) and it wouild be an same difficulty. as far as entering right into a police organization, Too undesirable, so unhappy, its not likely to take position. Like someone till now had suggested, cocaine is a distinct no no for any good departhment and no organization would enable someone with a legal arrest be a peace officer. Your legal arrest is in basic terms by technique of luck that its not a legal conviction, which may take atway your constitutional correct to undergo hands (carry a duty weapon) or vote. i'd recommend you be a good mom on your unborn baby and make certain it doesnt walk the path that you probably did. Get a good activity the position you wont challenge about your accepted charges. good luck.

If it is a conviction then no it is already done. It may be possible to get it expunged but you have to check the aplicable laws in your state. I guess your next best bet is a pardon.
