Hello Emily: You left an awful lot out of your question. You are obviously a competitive bodybuilder and can answer your own question much better than anybody else. You know, for example, that you have to have about 200 grams of protein and 400 grams of carbs every day. But I think you are eating too much fat. Cut that back to less than 50. That will give you 2850 calories a day, enough to pack muscle (and weight) onto a 5' 8" and 19 year old female weight-lifter. You already have all the ingredients. Use your protein bars for school snacks. The only change I'd make is to take CLA. I am 77 and only 5' 6" tall. six weeks ago, I could barely do 10 reps on the bench-press with 125 pounds. This week , after taking CLA for those six weeks, I did 10 with 155, 6 with 175, 4 with 195 and 1 with 215. I put on four pounds without changing body-fat. There are only a couple of guys in my gym who can outdo that and they are in their 20s. Send me an email and I'll give you a good source for CLA in Canada. Cal Smith

Hello, I am a dietetics and med student. Please take this as an OPINION only since I am not a MD or RD yet. Eating nuts would not really increase your weight. Nuts are high in fiber in protein so you would be making yourself have more BM's which 33% of the weight of fecal matter is bacteria. I would suggest trying whey and protein shakes (like what body builders use). Try building muscle mass as muscle weighs more then fat and is healthier. Again, you must consult your doctor before trying any new diet as it may be debtrimental to your overall health. Hope this helps! Also, stay away from ANYTHING with high fructose corn syrup (typically found in soda and other sweet things like jelly) and partially hydrogenated or hydrogenated oils (typically found in margerines and other packaged foods). Good luck!

Those will just be fat though.
To gain weight, you keep eating. Especially right before you go to bed.

Eat something that is high in oil and carbohydrate content.
Not necessarily high in FAT, most fat are bad for your health on top of the high calories content.

To gain weight you need to consume more calories than you burn. High fat foods are usually high calorie since fats contribute 9 cal/ gm whereas carbohydrates and proteins only 4 calories / gm. Five pounds per week sure means a lot of eating, a habit that you might develop.

Basically eating any food more than moderation will give you weight gain, especially if you are not active. But if you are looking to gain weight I would recommend to do it in a healthy manner.Gain weight gradually.

you bet. and maybe more than 5 if you eat enough of them. they are extremely high in fat, especially pecans. they're good too, so it would be easy to stay on that diet.
