Someone keeps calling me and hanging up on my home phone without saying anything.?

I do not have caller ID, and don't want it. The phone company said there is nothing they can do. *69 always says the number is not available. What can I do? I don't want to get a new number!! It's been happening for about 1 month, 3-5 times a day!!

ask to talk to a manager, the phone compnay can do a trace on the phone. to see were a call came from regardless of weather you have caller ID or not. Customer service people aren't the Tech's.

I work in a telephone Central Office, i know they can perform a call trace. I have had to do it a few times. Its a pain in the ***.

I had the phone company do one for me, It took me about 15-20 minutes of arguing with the dam customer service to have it done. (I work on a SL-100 on a military base, comercial service is provided downtown,Qwest).

What you will need is the your phone number, the date, and time when the call comes in. Well good luck, just be persitant cause they can run a call trace, if it comes down to tell them " I think im going to cancle my service with you" then they might come clean, or try to find you a better answer.

Don't answer the home phone for two weeks and see if the caller gives up. Inform your friends and family to call you on your mobile phone or another number for the time being.

Don't be forced into getting another number yet. You shouldn't need to be so drastic. Just be patient and wait for the caller to give up.

Perhaps an old bf.....harrassing you. You may have to.
the person is using block ID. Have you recently broken up with
anyone. That might be the culprit

get yourself an cheap air-horn, ya know the one you take to the ball game...next time he calls...blow it into the receiver...make sure you wear earplugs...I got one for 1.99 from BigLots..
