Hello girls, is it alright if I told a girl that I like her and would like to get to know her better and follow it up with a 'But I want to be sure there is nobody special already in your life'

Get to know her first. Simply say hi, introduce yourself and get talking. Meet her for coffee or something. Then as you get closer you can ask her.

I think i know what you should do. Simply talk to her and if she asks you how you are and stuff, it means she likes you but isnt sure. I would personlally say in a conversation say so your goin out with nyur bf tonight right? and if she says yeah how'd ya kno say you told me a little while ago. if shes says im not seeing any1 say ah, im sorry i propably was just thinking about some one else. GOOD LOOK! hopethis dont sound cheesey, i used it 2 days a go and now i have a great boifriend!

it depends on who she is and what shes like. i would feel intruded if you ask me this question and you will never get an answer. not having anyone special at the moment dont mean that i can possibly be interested in you.
get to knw her better as a friend first. go on a few outings and then find out from her in the most indirect of manners. asking someone outright is like me asking her "hey whats your bra size?"
it can get pretty sensitive.

No, that's too deep. Just ask her for her number, if you haven't already. When you call, if she answers, talk for a few minutes and then ask her if she would be interested in having dinner. If she says yes, assume no one else is in her life. If no, either someone is or she isn't interested. Simple as that.

First of all you question is asked wrong!!! It's suppose to be "How do I tell a girl I'm interested and is she single?" Well first you become good friends with them and then ask one day if she's seeing anybody and if she's not then you make your move and if she is you guys can just be friends.

well, i personally wouldn't take offense to that. but some girls could. you know this girl and are probably the only one who could tell if she would take offense...if you really aren't sure just wait a little and simply ask her if she has a beau.

just casually bring it up in a conversation....ask her if she a a bf...or if your too chicken you can always ask a friend to ask her....but i think if YOU ask her then she will know that you are interested
