No, not agreed, and no, it's not common sense. Why is god the only reason to refrain from killing people? What about morality, the law, or society? Lack of faith in god doesn't equate to homicidal feelings.
And I hate to burst your bubble, but god killed the world in the flood, remember?

If you need to believe in a God and Heavenly rules to prevent killing people, then I'm afraid you are a very weak individual with no personal integrity.
Ethics has nothing to do with religion. Ethics depends on learning to enjoy your own life and the happiness of those around you, realizing that your own happiness also depends on that of the rest of the people.
Regardless of your religion, if you love life and cherish the great gift nature has given you, you will learn that contributing to make this world better is the best thing that could ever happen to you.
Learining the inner workings of life, contributing to make life easier, for you and for everybody, it's the most logical thing ever, and it does not depend on your beliefs.

Yikes! I vehemently disagree. No - because there are societal punishments for killing. Therefore, it is never a good idea, IMO, to kill anyone despite your faith or lack thereof. Not allowing people to kill = order in civilized society.
While I admit I have my own list of people waiting to be strangled, regardless if I lost my faith or not - there are other reasons to restrain myself. First - when you kill someone, that someone has people who love them who might seek revenge. Second - when you kill someone, I believe we're all interconnected and therefore when we kill, we kill a part of ourselves. Third - it's illegal and you'll end up in jail or on death row. The first and third reasons alone should be enough to keep a *sane* person from killing anyone.

We certainly are not agreed on that. I have no faith in a god and have no wish to kill anyone. You may be trolling, but if not you're a wonderful example of how people assume that people only act in moral ways because of a fear of God. You speak volumes about yourself, not humanity.

You are living proof that humans are not an intelligent species.
Animals with very little intelligence (for example, even goldfish) can be trained to base their actions on the resulting reward or punishment. That is not morality.
It is very sad that you must believe in rewards and punishment from God in order to refrain from committing murder. You should have been born a goldfish.

You don't need "faith" to refrain from killing; that hasn't stopped the millions of people who have been killed for "religious beliefs" or "in the name of God." Faith in God didn't stop the Salem witch trials but actually provoked it.

The Universe is watching even if God isn't. KARMA=Cause and effect. Everything you think, say and act upon has a consequence that gets scheduled for future manifestation. You cannot escape it. Everyone is responsible for the choices they make. No one gets away clean. Remember my words my friend.

Just because you have only your God to keep you from doing unspeakable crimes against humanity, that doesn't mean that everyone who doesn't believe as you do, is a serial killer. Obviously you are one of those who cannot control your own primal instincts and since those who believe in God continue to sin, I have to think that you may be carrying out those horrible acts anyway, as do priests against little boys.

it's rather alarming to think that the only thing that keeps you from murdering people is a belief in an invisible super being. apparently you're a barely restrained psychopath. get help. find a doctor who will get you committed to a good mental health hospital. get meds and stay on them.
i wish you emotional and mental well being for your sake and the sake of all those who come in contact with you.

read the book of Job and learn what faith is.some times we feel like god does`nt care.most of our problems is that we think we should get what we want when we want.this way of thinking is destructive to our relationship with god.sometimes to leave in the splinter causes us enough pain to remind us we are,god is,you are,and i am.love god with all your heart and he will take away the feelings of killing.you will know that if they harm his child there is hell to pay.pray for and love them anyway you will be better for it.if that does`nt work keep your distance from them.if i had to choose of who i would kill it would be everyone we are all sinful and short of the glory of god.yet he still loves us all.
