Atheism is the disbelief in the existence of deities.t is commonly defined as the explicit (i.e., conscious and deliberate), positive rejection and denial of theism; however, others—including most atheistic philosophers and groups—define atheism as the simple absence of belief in deities.
Agnosticism (from the Greek a, meaning "without" and gnosis, "knowledge", translating to unknowable) is the philosophical view that the truth value of certain claims — particularly theological claims regarding metaphysics, afterlife or the existence of God, god(s), or deities — is unknown or inherently unknowable.
-Wikipedia
To put them in simpler words, an atheist is someone who flat-out doesn't believe in a god or gods.
However, an agnostic is someone who isn't certain on the existence of a god or gods, but they might say, "Show me proof there is a God or Gods and I'll believe you."

I do not see a difference between these two groups of vain,short- sighted lost souls. Neither do not and will not accept or recognize the existence of God and the Savior, Jesus Christ. They are have one thing in common with those Islamic terrorists---both deny Jesus Christ is the son of God!!
1 John 2:22
Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son.
Psalm 14:1
The fool [a] says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
2 John 1:7
Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
1 John 4:3
but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

Atheism addresses the question of belief in god, specifically the position that one does not believe in a god. This may take either a strong form (there is no god) or a weak form (simply lacking a belief in a god).
Agnosticism is the view that we do not or cannot know if god exists. Since atheism addresses belief while agnosticism addresses knowledge about god, they are not mutually exclusive. Indeed, one can be agnostic but still believe in a god, as they may believe but not claim to be certain. Alternatively, there can also be agnostic atheists, who don't claim to know one way or the other that there is a god, and thus lack a belief in one.

Atheists don't believe in god(s). Agnostics believe there is no way to tell whether God exists or not.

Lots of DING DONGS think they're agnostic. It's not the
same as atheist.
If someone is asexual, they don't care about sex one way or the other.
If one is agnostic, they don't say there is a God, and don't say
there isn't!

Atheist believes absolutely that there is no god.
Agnostic hasn't been convinced for sure whether there is one or not, but is open to the possibility that there is.
