i have a lot of family problems too and i dont really feel like sharing them but i kept my feelings inside way too long and i finally broke down and wanted to commit suicide and i just hated myself and i also didnt feel comfortable talkin to a guidance counslor so wat i did was just find one of my best friends and asked him to promise not to tell anyone my problems and he promised and i ended up breakin down right in front of him and he made me feel a lot better. so just find some 1 who u can really trust and then tell him/her about it. good luck and i hope i could help out

Counselors are trained professionals who can help with any problems, or at least listen to your situation and come up with some suggestions. Sorry your having family problems, I am in my 50's and had a very disfunctional life, starting from age 6 or so and ran away at 16 and never went back. To hold this inside you is no good. Let it out, tell someone, I know there is help out there for you. Good Luck

Sweetheart, I'm sorry to hear that you are having some trouble thoughts and times. I understand you wanting to talk to someone but you have to be very careful about who you talk to. Everyone is not going to always have your best interest at hand. We have to realize that everyone is not a true friend. Most of the time when you tell them something they will only go and tell it to someone else. All at the same time it is not good to keep problems bottles up inside you because it will only destroy you mentally. I don't know if you're in church or not but I would suggest that if you have confidence in your Pastor, I would talk to him. With that being said; not only can he help you cope with what you're going through but he can also pray with you about your problems. The other thing I would suggest is trying to get in and talk to someone in mental health because having thoughts of suicide is not healthy at all. I pray this advice will help you.

that all depends on how trust worthy your friends are because if they are mouth runners and tell everyone you might be hurt by whatever is bothering you even more. Talk to someone you know will listen and wont spread around what you have to say but never keep anything inside because it will eventually eat away at you and you will blow up or have a breakdown. best of luck and find someone you can trust to talk to.

I tell my family everything, but one little secret that I am not ready to share with them yet, depends on how it goes, I will tell them eventually. My best friend Sonya however, knows EVERYTHING! not that I have too many problems. Just a secret.

Are there any adults that you do trust? there are always hot lines for troubled teens check the front of your phone book...or even call the county department for child protective services...don't give up there are resources available...worse comes to worse ask a local police officer....good luck hope you find the right help and can improve your situation...

some things just require a little thought and logic to work out in your head. other things are obvious when a solution is needed. some things require others to see angles you didn't or can't. sort things out and the things you just can't resolve can be helped by a third person. all is confidential with a counselor. there are also help lines to call. good luck.

Well, if you need someone to talk to, I would be more than happy to listen to you. I know what it is like to keep things bottled inside. It doesn't get any better until you tell someone. My email is michellejanick@yahoo.com if you want to talk. Good Luck!

Choose one close friend... Personally I don't enjoy pow-wows but understand it is important for people to air things.
I can handle it once in a while to a good friend, and I do my best to help, but if all my friends were doing it, or all my friends were involved in a pow-wow about one friend's problem I would get tired of it and lose interest.
