Every day of my life has me having awful hair!! Due to where I live, it gets REALLY cold in fall and winter. Even if I am only outside for a few minutes, somehow, my hair becomes really knotted and awful. After I examined it, I saw that a bunch of strands sort of spiraled around the hair, which knotted it.

So I can NEVER put my hair down!! Instead, I just put up a half pony tail, but that gets messed up in the end of the day, and I feel like my hair is sort of wasted.

What can I do?!? I have red (natural), shoulder length hair that is rather thin, with a bit of thickness here and there.

Plus, is John Freida Radiant Red shampoo and conditioner any good?

I tried using a detangler, but after a while, it mixed in with the gunk in my hair and is smelled AWFUL.

Use a detangling spray. It will prevent knots and such. Plus keep a brush handy b/c windy days will inadvertently make hair knot up.

John frieda is a great brand!

A moisturizing shampoo and conditioner containing humectants and silicon will work wonders to your hair. Used it regularly and should be even- present in your bathroom. Good luck.

okay ill tell you what i told some one else:
put your hair in a bun, except for your bangs.
then ofr the littl ehair that sitcks out, wear a headband.
then for the other little hairs, use this odve hairspray from winco i think, cause that oen is really good and leaves your hair soft.

this answer got a best answer so i suggest it.

conditioner and shampoo can sometimes cause hair to be a little bit more easier to tangle. at least, thats what i think cuz thats kind of the way mine is. hope this helps. bye! : )
p.s.- maybe wear a hat?

Hmmm, you could braid it, like a black (No offence!). Or just braid it in pigtails, Pippi Long Stockings ^^
