Where's the equality?....and heritage doesn't matter as long as you have the same faith...If you look at Islam, you'll never find a mosque for only blacks or only whites. Equality is stressed in Islam, whether you're rich or poor, black or white, healthy or handicapped, it doesn't matter. Muslims are muslims and that's that. If you walk into any mosque in the world, there's never any segregation, whites, blacks, hispanics, chinese, you name it all share the same mosque. Why can't churches be this way as well?

Because of the way many religions evolved in America: That is, racially segregated. The white people came from Europe, bringing their religion. When black slaves where brought over, they brought their religion with them, but from spending time in America, began to incorporate elements of the white people's religions. This led to similar, but still different, religions, since each had elements worked in from the original religions, and thus "black" and "white" churches.

Traditional marriage ceremony ettiquette strongly discourages dressed in both all-black or all-white apparel, as all-black is a signal of loss of life and mourning, at the same time all-white is the colour the bride will likely be dressed in (important no-no to out-shine the bride!). Of the attire you discribed, I feel the only with white floral print could be essentially the most applicable on the "conventional" marriage ceremony, considering the fact that it's obviously a well stability of the 2 colours. HOWEVER, you did not say whether or not the marriage ceremony used to be a colossal formal marriage ceremony or a small informal marriage ceremony. At small weddings, so much traditions like which can be thrown out the window considering that the couple is extra worried approximately your presence as an alternative than your dresser. And even at colossal formal weddings, a tasteful get dressed that is all black or typically black with white is regarded proper. As lengthy as you do not put on all-white, you will have to be exceptional. Have amusing, and well good fortune with the bouquet toss! :-D

Have you ever been to a black service? I have. It is an all day affair. They are very spiritual. You need to pack a picnic lunch because they don't get out until an hour after 'regular' white churches get out.

Another thing. There should not be total equality. You can't have it. Not now not ever. People like being with people that are like them. It would be too boring if everyone was the same.

Nice attempt to do a PR job for the Muslim religion.

Too bad your statements are not supported by facts. You state that racial division does not exist in the Muslim religion.

Actually, the Nation of Islam is really just for Blacks. Seeing as how it was founded on the belief that White people are devils. In fact, the Nation of Islam is a hate group. It was founded as a black supremacist organization. Yes, the Nation of Islam has tried to clean up its act a little, but it's not really fooling many people.

And, let's clear something up. There are CONGREGATIONS of Christians that are predominately Black or White or Asian or Hispanic or whatever group you want to mention. But there is no Christian denomination or church with a sizable membership that rejects anyone on the basis of race. None that I'm aware of. In other words, humans sometimes prefer to seek out people who are like them. They should have the freedom to do this. Who are you to judge them? It might be better if everyone worshipped together, but racial division is hardly part of Christian theology.

And just because a congregation is mostly Black or White doesn't mean there are no members of other races. And it doesn't mean that people of other races are prohibited from attending services there.

Furthermore, there are Christian congregations where you see large numbers of all races.

Also, I'd like to point out the situation in Darfur. Muslims are attacking, raping, murdering and making slaves of Black Africans. The Muslims who are doing these actions are not Black. They consider Black people to be inferior to them. And if you want proof of that, well......rape, murder and enslavement is a pretty good indication that you hold a group of people in contempt.

By the way, you're really something of a religious bigot, aren't you? And before you get your islamic panties all twisted up in a knot, I'm not a Christian.

First if you are refering to how southern baptists have a majority of black people it is because there is a large amount of black people that live in the south there are actually a few white people in those churches.
Islam is not equal what about the nation of Islam it is only for Black people, like malcolm X or muhamed Ali.

all are welcomed in any church, its just where people choose to go or where they feel comfortable....churches have many different races, its the population in which you live. Most people go to church in there neighborhood. There are no churches for only black or whites, I do think you need to do your research before you make a general statement like that......and the answer to your question CHURCHES ARE LIKE THAT, THERE MAY BE SPECIFIC CHURCHES FOR EXAMPLE THAT SPEAK SPANISH, CHINESE OR AFRICAN ETC. for those who have difficulty understanding English. Like there are two Mosque in my area one hold services for those who speak English and one for those who speak English and they do congregate with each other the same as churches do.Seriously dont be so narrow minded

It depends on the area of the country you are in but a lot of people are still set in their ways when it comes to race. I don't think it is an equality issue for most, it is just the way they were raised and have always done it so they continue the cycle.

some people feel more comfortable with their own race..I on the other hand would rather be in a mixed church...people need to stop segregating themselves...black and white...I think that's why black and white don't understand each other..because they are afraid that they are more alike than they really want to admit

well that is the way that our society is, and i think that it is terrible. I think that if you religious you should share that with all people, not within your on race. Church is a time to come together and love one another and most of all to give thanks and show your love to christ. Really im not to sure why it is that way maybe it is that african americans have different beleifs than caucasions but we should be able to bring things into there church from all over. I guess this prolly doesnt really help to much sorry.
good luck and God bless

Where are these white only churches and black only churches. That is discrimination and illegal. Besides desrimination is people based not church based. I am sure there are as many racist Muslims as Christians, and Jews and Budhists too. Unfortunately that is just human nature.
