Me and my boyfriend kinda have the same situation. We took a 'break' before our 1 year anniversary so have never really had an anniversary. If you want the first time you slept together to be ur anniversary day get ur bf a card or little gift and explain to him why you consider this ur one year, and how important it is to you. Guys are pretty clueless about things like this sometimes unless you point it straight out. If you love him and he loves you he'll think its great, you should have no problems bringing it up. Goodluck! and happy anniversary =)

Honestly, it's a known science fact that a guy usually won't remember. It has something to do with their brain or something..................
But anyway, ask him what today is. He will most likely say "what"? Then give him hints to the answer (anniversary), and tell him he will get a "SPECIAL" surprise if he finds out the answer. If he gets it right, give him what he wants. (Which is most likely sex). If he gets it wrong, tell him the answer and don't give him anything. I am POSITIVE that he will remember next time.

Men forget everything like this. It may be as important to him as you but it can easily slip his mind.

Just say to him. "Do you remember what day this is?"
Good chance he will say uhhhh no.

So just remind him of that first time. Make sure he knows how important it was to you.

Men do not put the importance in these things that women do. Now your marriage date is differant...that he should remember.....but the first time you had sex may not stick with him.

Just having you as his girlfriend is far more important.

Say, "Did you know that one year ago, today, was the first day we ever slept together? Wouldn't that make today our anniversary?" Say it kind of excitedly. Don't let it be the first thing you say though.

Dont feel hurt that he doesn't know. Guys never remember dates. I can recall every date of anything important thats happened with me and my fiance, but he wouldn't have the foggiest. Thats just what boys are like. Maybe you should treat it really casual.. just say to him something like "hey you know today's kinda special for us... (tell him why its important to you). Wanna do something to celebrate?" Guys don't like feeling pressure to have to do something, especially when it comes to mushy stuff :) Hope it all works out.

Not all guys remember those type of things...Just say. Hey babe, today has been a year that we have been together, would you like to go to a movie or whatever....

Just say.....guess what today is.....then if he has no idea just tell him.

It would be nice if he remembered the exact date but if he doesn't let it go.

Pick what's really important and your relationship will last a long time.

Just tell him that it has been one year since your relationship got serious and you want to celebrate it. Tell him the same way you described it in your question.

Take care,
Troy
