Im in the same boat..but with a twist..Im also 16..BUT my parents treat me like im some dumb little ditz that cant do anything herself..when...im more mature than most 20 y/os..You just have to show them your capable of taking care of yourself...One thing...oddly i notced..when I started eating right..and taking care of my body..my parents respected me more..and if proving to them..you capable of taking a walk by yourself doesnt work..talk to them about it..Just tell them the truth..Be like..Im not 5, and I know its out of love, and you care about me, but Im 16, I dont need you guys to hold my hand any more...I really appriate it..and it shows me you care, but I need more respect and more freedom...

Well, first off, be thankful you actually have parents who care about you. Secondly, talk you your parents. Sit down with them and be completely honest. You are 16 years old and you should be more responsible. But, take into consideration that they are protecting you. There are a lot of weirdos out their today and they just want to make sure you are safe. I know exactly where you are coming from. When I was 16, my parents let my brothers go out and run wild. I, on the other hand, had to stay home. It isn't fair but that is life. Just be honest with them and don't get angry with them, they love you.

Listen darlin' your parents were always that way, its just that you just discovered your independence, and they are not ready to let you go yet, also if you would watch the news, children are being kidnapped everyday, they worry what happens to you, I know it gets on your nerves but just appreciate it. And when you get older it still will not change. Yes you are allowed to make your own mistakes, but they are watching out for you so you make a big mistake, just keep loving them, and let them know that you are ready for a little space. When you became a parent you will understand everything they did. Good Luck!

i understand the type you sense! i'm a 10 year previous lady dealt with like 5. My pal lives around the park and that i would be unable to bypass over there, whilst i'm no longer hungry i'm getting fed! i've got tried telling my mom and he or she in basic terms b!tchez at me! you could circulate out (i would be unable to do this danmit!) or can ask her to take a seat and confer together with her slowly with 50/50 risk or you may get a woman pal with a house or with a superb effective relatives that likes you and not enable your mom ever hear approximately her and circulate in together with her. wish this helps!

My father sometimes treats me like teenager and I am 41 and it gets on my nerves. The are just trying to be good parents and it shows that they love you. Maybe talking to them might help a little but remember no matter old you get they will always be your parents and they will always try to do whats best for you and you are very lucky to have that.

No matter how much we are going to tell you about your parents and how much they love you, you are not going to Liston till you be parent your self one day and then you will understand what all these people are talking about. Many kids they think they old enough, nothing is going to happen, believe child there are many bad people out there just watch the news and see.

They are just trying to protect you. There are evil people in this world who get off on hurting children. It may get on your nerves but it also may save your life. Be thankful that you have them.
