Oh yes. You should NEVER be aggressive with trying to bring someone to the Lord. I have seen it. It has happened to me and I was pushed away at first. You should approach someone with love and compassion.

I've often thought it was. I mean, like Korea; ppl walk down the crowded city sidewalks blaring a bunch of stuff over a loudspeaker about going to hell if they -the listeners- don't repent...how could that possibly have a good impact?
On the other hand, advertising a Bible study or seminar where ppl are welcome to come -and not taught the false doctrines of eternal hell held by most Christian denominations-would be a great way to publicly evangelize!
PS) Here's the link on why I disagree with most denominations on the doctrine of eternal hell:

Not necessarily. Some people are not especially bright nor strong of will; some folks can easily be intimidated into following a strong leader. Look at Jim Jones, Oral Roberts, David Koresh, etc..

Yes. There are many passages in the Bible that discourage aggressive behavior.
Col. 3:12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Often, yes it can be. We are not to evangelize by preaching hell but preaching repentace and forgivness. We have to first get them to reconize that they are sinners and to admit that themselves and then we will have a better response. We must do it in a christ like manner

That depends on what you mean by "aggressive evangelism". It is amazing what God can use when it is committed to Him. He could even use you.

Absolutely not, you should threaten everybody you meet with hellfire and damnation plus a real serious guilt trip about how Jesus died for their sins and how disrespectful it would be to doubt. This approach will keep the pews full and when we have control of the world again we can just crucify everybody else.

Yeah, I think so; it helps feed the stereotype that Christians are fools. While Christianity has its fair share of fools, so does everyone else.
