The word chick is often mistranslated as chicas meaning girls but just as in the U.S. we ( guys in Mexico ) call (young)girls "pollas" which is the correct translation of chicks so chick means pollo or polla, hen gallina and rooster gallo, and chicken is used for gallina or gallo which also means pollo. so if you want to say "women are not chicks" it is "las mujeres no son pollas" but in Spain "polla" means penis or more like c.o.c.k which in English is a rooster, funny no?
