Throughout history even before Christianity there has been religion to control the masses and make them think they were doing all that hard labor for their god. What makes Christianity any different?

It isn't different. It is mind control for the masses/
Plus this religious leaders are getting rich.
While telling people to vote for big business and they take from the poor to give to the rich. But that's ok because they don't allow gays to get married. Like who cares?

I sure hope so. I would want nothing better than to have my mind controlled by God, The Creator!
Christianity is not just another religion. It is the life of God abiding within and flowing out of the believer. Other religions leave you the same as you were before. But the wonderful thing about the Christian life is that it will completely transform you.
When you are born again, your spirit is instantly transformed into the image of God. The spirit is that part of you which takes on the nature of God. According to the Word, once that happens you should immediately start the process of changing your soul. The Bible calls it "renewing the mind."

Your soul is your mind, your will and your emotions. Spiritual growth is determined by how much your soul has been changed by the Word of God. Nothing is wrong with your spirit if you are born again; the life of God is in there. You are indwelt by the Holy Ghost. But you are hindered from living a spiritual life by a soul (mind) that thinks like the world instead of like God. This is true because your soul (will) also determines your actions.
Once you have been born again, the Bible instructs you to "put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness" (Ephesians 4:24). This means your soul and body are to take on the same image as your spirit. This happens through the process of changing your mind, your will and your emotions to understand and walk in the ways of God.

To live in God's perfect will you must renew your mind. You must learn to live from the inside out. There is no other way to live victoriously.

When we are born of the Spirit, we are to conform to the image of God's Son (Romans 8:29). You and I ought to act just like Jesus. The only thing that stands in the way is our soul. Without a renewed mind we would not dare to walk and act like Jesus.

See I believe that you have a good prospective on religion. The leaders of any faith based organization lead their ppl into any various activities by explaining that the job undertaken is divinely motivated and an act of religious direction. This of course is a matter of opinion since actions are usually motivated by ones own value definitions. Since the "flock" is already subject to following the lead, they dutifully continue to follow the direction rather for political, ethical, spiritual or monetary gain. There is usually also some sort of gain to the projects end result. Very little is usually done out of the pure joy of giving.

Even before Christianity they made people do hard labor, making them think it was for the gods..mabye building temples, building pyramids..whatever...but they were really jsut for the political figures...

The work we are doing is..feeding the hungry..clothing the naked...giving shelter to the homeless. These are not done for political figures. I cant figure out a "behind the scenes" motive behind these acts of "hard labor".
Thats what makes Christianity differant.

Everyone's mind is influenced by something. There isn't a person on the planet who does not admire and submit to the wisdom of another. If it were not so, we would never learn anything at all. Thus we may be a disciple of Marx, Aristotle, Eminem or Jesus Christ, and our character will tend to develop in a way that is similar to whoever we follow. The person whose mind is truly controlled by their submission to Jesus Christ will become like Jesus Christ. Who could object to that? Wouldn't you like to live in a place where "the masses" were like Jesus instead of like the vicious entertainers that have such a negative influence on society? So who do you admire and follow?

For the past seven-thousand years or so, all kinds of religions have been used to control, socialize, enslave, and murder masses of people. Christianity has been misused the same way. No one can control your mind unless you allow them to.

It can be. Just look at the way politicians pander to religious people and how they fall for it every time. The neocons know religion is a bunch of hooey, but they would never say so publicly. Simple people think religion is true, the wise think it is false, and the powerful think it is useful.

It is control of the mind because of the Masses.

Everyone needs something to believe in. As for mind control, God is our great creator. You have the choice to believe or not. It isn't hard to serve God so where you got that idea is beyond me. All He ask is that you love Him and you love those around you. You can't work your way to heaven. that is a free gift given to you by God Himself.

It's as if Linus (from the Peanuts comic strip) not only insisted on everybody else carrying a blanket around but also threatened violence against the blanketless infidel. The only thing that makes the blanket clutchers set aside their brutal infighting over the shape, size, and color of their blankets is seeing one of us wander by with no blanket at all.
