of course--why else would his first commandment be 'thou shalt have no other gods before me'? if there were no other gods, he'd not have had to say this

1. There are two seperate beings in the Godhead. God the Father, introduced to us in the New Testament by Jesus Christ, and YHWH the God of the Old Testament, the being who created all things under the direction of His Father. YHWH gave Moses the stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments. He was also Melchazedeck , the King of Salem. He gave up his Godhead to become a human being and suffer for the sins of mankind. He is the only living person who never committed sin during his 33 years of life. If Adam and Eve had obeyed YHWH and not craved the knowledge of good and evil Mankind would have gone to the stars thousands of years ago., there never would have been wars, we would all be members of the God Family sharing the same love and power. Alas, now we have to wait until after the Day of the Lord, until all prophecies have come to pass to be resurrected to immortal life, all of those who have been written in the Book of Life.

Had Adam and Eve eaten from the "Tree of Life", they would have lived forever in their sinful state; as we would have as well.
In the first verse you have indicated; God has declared that mankind has become like him.....that is to say knowing from Good and Evil.
In the second verse, Adam and Eve would have lived forever or for eternity on this earth if they ate from the Tree of Life...God did not wish for mankind to live forever in their sinful state; so He banished mankind from the Garden of Eden, so that we shall not have access to that Tree in the condition in which we now live. That being sinful.
You can not find that Tree anywhere on earth, any longer. For God took the tree and relocated it, into Heaven.

First of all, you mean what if they got BACK to the tree of life. They already HAD eternal life before they sinned. If you will recall, there were two trees in the midst of the garden. The tree of life, and the knowledge of good and evil tree. But God had only commanded that they not eat of the knowledge of good and evil tree. WHY? Because if you already have eternal life, would eating the fruits of eternal life do anything to you? But they had sinned, and were cast out of Eden. God said that if they ate it, Man shall surely die in his day. Man DOES die now. Man died then. Adam lived to be 930 years old, and that was in the years according to God's count. God's Word IS true!
Secondly, God meant by "One of US", not more than one God, but the angels in heaven, and God. God is not in 3 persons, or 3 separate entities. There is only one God. God's word and God's spirit are holy because they are God too. There is only one you. Your word and your spirit are you too. Not 3 of YOU running around, even if you are tripletts, because each triplett also has his own word and his own spirit.
And finally, if they were not blocked off from the tree of life after they had sinned, yes, they would have still had eternal life, and became immortal as GOD is immortal. Not as gods. There is only ONE GOD ALMIGHTY, creator of ALL life.
This is the reason that God's word was made into flesh by way of a virgin birth. God had to live amongst HIS creation to show Man how to regain the eternal life that he had lost in Eden.
God's Word was named Jesus. This is an earthly name given to Him by his earthly mother, Mary. (It was actually Yoshua, given that J has only been in the English language for about 500 years).
Jesus showed man by example, how to have eternal life. Jesus also knew that He had to die to do this, and rise again, to prove that man could have eternal life even after death, if man did as Jesus taught.

That was The Trinity talking. The Hebrew word for God there is 'Eloheim',it's a plural used as a singular,'El' is the singular for God,like El Shaddai etc.
Adam and Eve would have lived ,without any way to take away their sin, like Satan, and would be alive until they were judged at the end days.No redemption for them, that would of been sad.

Then they would NOT DIE and this would make God a LIAR, for God said that the day they would eat of the forbidden friut ,they would die ! Numbers 23 : 19 ...GOD IS NOT A MAN THAT HE SHOULD LIE : NEITHER THE SON OF MAN THAT HE SHOULD REPENT : HATH HE SAID , AND SHALL HE NOT DO IT ? ...but praise God that he would allow the SAVED to the TREE OF LIFE WHEN HE COMES : Revelation 22 : 14 .....God Bless

the term "us" can have to connotation of the trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). one God in three persons, the trinity is a hard concept to grasp. it is also a royal term to show God's authority and rule.
about the tree of life, God said of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, once you eat of that tree you will surely die. as soon as they ate of the fruit, sin entered the world and mankind, and thus death entered.

Yes God the Father was saying "Now THEY think THEY know what is good or evil" God did not say what they thought was good or evil truly was -- just that they thought they knew -- which is the beginning of sin. This is where Jesus is such a hero by offering himself up to death by us consuming his body and blood in the spiritual wedding embrace -- he dies because we his spouse dies but, after he puts our sin to death with him he rises from the dead and because we are his spouse we rise from the dead too , minus the sin though.

US, first mention of the Trinity.
Tree of Life, Salvation, live enternally
Man became one of us, in that he now knew good and evil, and if he takes from the trree of life, he may live eternally. Not supported in one verse, but throught the entire Bible.
