A gall bladder attack occurs when a gallstone blocks the duct of the gallbladder. This can occur after eating spicy or fatty food. In my case, before my gallbladder surgery, it didn't matter what I ate. It happened almost daily.

Gallbladder attacks are extremely painful. There is a dull intense pain between the shoulder blades. Nausea, and I broke out in a cold sweat. Lying down does not help it to go away. It will sometimes go away faster if the person walks or moves around. The movement will sometimes jostle the gallstone out of the duct and make the attack go away.

Surgery is the best cure for gallbladder attacks.

There are two types...acute cholecystitis with an intensely inflamed gall bladder and which is a surgical emergency and biliary colic. With colic there is intense pain caused by a gall stone which was formed from bile in the bladder and which begins to migrate down the duct towards the duodenum but gets stuck. This can often be relieved with medical treatment but usually eventually requires the gall bladder be removed

To be clear, a Gallbladder is an organ of the gastrointestinal system involved in the storage and concentration of bile, is shaped like a deflated balloon or pear, and lies on the surface of the right lobe of the liver.

Gallstones (what I think you are calling a gallbladder attack) are formed within the gallbladder, an organ that stores bile excreted from the liver. Bile is made up of water, salts, lecithin, cholesterol, and other substances. If the concentration of these components changes, gallstones may form.

Gallstones may be as small as a grain of sand, or they may become as large as an inch in diameter, depending on how long they have been forming.

That word is actually one word.

Gallbladder. Many people suffer from this. You will get severe gut pain and may vomit. You need to see the doctor to have him check to make sure you do not have gallstones. That is the usual cause of a gallbladder attack. Also known as cholelithiasis. They have an operation now that can remove the gallbladder without making a large scar.

They hurt like h*ll. Midway on right side. Feel sick when you eat something that is spicy. If you are feeling this way, try eating bland foods for a couple of days and see if he quits. If not I would go to Doc or ER.
