I think it depends on the maturity of the two ppl and on who the ppl are. What do you think?

I don't think we should allow society to dictate age restrictions in relationships. There is a 21 year age gap between my boyfriend and I (I'm 27). I have never been happier in my life. Just like with any relationship, it needs to have the essentials like trust, understanding, communication, interests, goals, etc. If those elements are in place, then nothing else matters. Love is the greatest feeling in the world, and age shouldn't stop anyone from experiencing it.

Depends on age group. I don't agree with a 18 year old and a 30 year on for example. Both people need to be mature. But an age gap of more than 10 years I think is iffy.

That really depends on the gap that you are talking about.
Guy 18 - Girl 16 = OK
Guy 16 - Girl 18 = OK
Guy 36 - Girl 14 = NOT OK
Guy 14 - Girl 36 (His Teacher) = Lucky Bastard!

The biggest gap that I ever had was when I was 20 and she was 15. She was very mature, and looked older than she was (I found out exactly how old she was after we started dating, she said she was 18, I swear).
A big part of it depends on the maturity level, but until both parties are over 25 it really doesn't matter.
Older guys like younger girls and vise versa.

i agree. I think that at most the age gap should be 20% of the younger person's age. But it really depends on the maturity of the couple involved, like you said.

Yes, it does depend on the maturity of the two people. Age shoulnd't be a huge factor in the relationship. If the two are in love, they deserve to be together, no matter the age.

I am 24 and my b/f is 35. It works out great for us because we are now at the same stage in our lives. He's finally (mostly) mature enough for me since the guys my age aren't and he's past most of his partying stage also unlike most guys my age.

I think it DEFINATELY depends on the maturity level and that the youngest is at least of legal age.

You can't really choose who you fall in love with. Age gaps are OK as long as it's not a 12 yr old with a 25 yr old. That's wrong and creepy

they have to have some basic things in common --- good communication skills, equal goals, honesty and mutual affection for the other person...

Notice I didn't mention maturity .... I use to be married to a man who was 25 years older than me.... he wasn't very mature in family matters.

Yes, pretty much. In general it's best if it's not too far apart and the man should be older. A woman who is a lot older than a man, I'd say no.
