I've often wondered how immigration continues if so many people are against it. If you were to sample say one hundred random people in the US for instance, I'm sure you'd find very few supporters of it. The vast majority couldn't care less or would be against it.
So if this is the case why does it continue. Who is actually for it??? Big business, lawyers, realtors, etc..............

I am. And I've met loads of people who are for it.
Regarding illegal immigration, all I can say is I sympathize. I understand that governments need to control it, but I still sympathize with illegal immigrants. Some of them come from such heartbreaking situations, and they just can't figure a way of resolving their problem legally.
Some of the first immigrants to North America were also very desperate people, and they just forced their way in - some did it while doing the least harm possible, others were kind of rough about it.
I think I'm with a majority in being for immigration, and probably being with a sizable minority in sympathizing with the illegal immigrants.

The US government is for illegal immigration. It is why the government refuses to do anything about it. It is also why border agents shooting at drug dealers receive 10 years in prison. The drug dealers are okay it is the border agents that the the US government rallies against.

I'm for LEGAL immigration. Simply crossing the border is not legal. Ya gotta follow the rules.

I think anyone with a heart would accept any one in need. I don't believe you have to be a business man or women to accept illegals. They haven't done nothing to us like the Iraq's and still we continue to help them so i guess its a matter of who has more money.

Yes, the USA has the biggest economy in the world and is vastly undercrowded, especially compared to other European or Eastern counties.

i think for the most part, american citizens are FOR immigration...it is ILLEGAL immigration that citizens are against. when you have people coming into the country who are undocumented and bringing disease (and who knows what else) into the country, this is unsafe for all who live here..
