No offence taken :)

There are a lot of rumours about things like this. The truth is, people from all religions can be abusive, but it's certainly not supported in any way by the Mormon church. There is a pamphlet published by the church that you might be interested in peering at, called 'The Family' which actually touches on this. It says that it's a terrible thing to do to beat your partner, and that God looks down on it. It also says that anyone who does this will lose their blessings from God, and may have their membership in the church suspended. There is even a brief suggestion that you will not get to continue your marriage after death (there is an idea in the Mormon church that if you get married in the temple, the marriage continues after you die, for all eternity) if you abuse your spouse.

Hope this helps!

You are being too general here...sorry.
I am a Mormon, my husband is Mormon and NO he doesn't nor has he ever "beat" me or even really yelled at me. We have a good marriage, sure we argue sometimes, but we work things out with patience, love and honesty. I live in Utah so of course there are lots of us mormons and I do not know anyone who has been abused by their husband, that doesn't mean it doesn't go on though.
Sadly,I am sure there are men in every religion who abuse their wives, children, family. To ask simply if "Mormons beat their wives" is just WAY too general of a question.

I don't know any who engages in that. If they do, and they are found out, they are subject to strict discipline. They can be disfellowshipped and stopped from going to the temple. Now you will run into a few who have a weakness in that respect, the same as in any population, but a man is called upon to honor and support his wife, and she does likewise. Have a happy day, and I send you a gummy bear.

Abusive husbands (and wives) come from all religions.

I personally have met no abusive spouses at all (to my knowledge), and have known several Mormon families.

To be honest, if I were to hear of a Mormon husband beating his wife, I'd say he isn't truly Mormon, because the Mormon faith condemns such behavior with no exceptions.

Rates of domestic violence are about the same regardless of religion. Does the church condone abuse of women... absolutely not! Will most LDS women tolerate abuse? NO. They have a huge social support system and women in the church have their Bishopric (male leaders) and Relief Society (female leaders) who will assist them and who will support them in living in an abuse free environment. So... in a nutshell... I'm sure it happens, but the church tends to put a quick stop to it.

Men of all religions beat their wives.

My dad was Mormon, his Dad, his sisters husbands, and many of my friends. None of them are abusive.

No and if they do they would be cut off from the church until they have completed counseling. We don't condone that kind of behavior.
