I think you should reword your question...

To restate the question: you are having a hard time remembering and learning (new things?) is not as easy. At 39, I have many things going on in my mind at once. As we don't know how impaired you are, it may be a normal aging process or may be a serious problem.

You may be under stress. Stress can play a harmful role in the natural bodily processes that we experience every day. You may want to try to get some exercise a few times a week, get a professional massage or even take a few days off and get away somewhere. Stress can cause anxiety, the inability to pay attention and also many other harmful things to our body.

don't worry about the wording of your question, it's fine.
My guess is that unless you have other problems or symptoms you feel may be related, or it came on suddenly..

..it is just from stress. Mental problems like depression and anxiety particularily make concentration difficult. Those can all be treated so don't worry and work on reducing stress and you will get better but it may take some time as it will have built up. So just as it didn't appear overnight it won't disappear that quickly.

It's very normal.

You are getting mind lazy. Seriously. A good thing to do is to exercise your mind. A good daily workout for your mind is to play brain teasers every day, challenge yourself. Try to learn something new every day and get that brain making more connections! Do crosswords, puzzles, tetris, mazes, learn a new vocabulary word every day. Try thinking deeply about complex ideas-- like the universe being finite or infinite...
try meditating....
AND ABOVE ALL:
READ, READ AND READ SOME MORE.....

u might just be a little slower at processing speed than the average person. But if you have trouble remembering things, carry post-its and write it down (I do that)....and for the learning, just stay focused and try ur best. Knowledge takes time to gain.
