Yes. In fact I so desperately want to believe, it's just that there are so many historical, achaelogocal, anthropological and biological evidences to the contrary.
I'd love to believe in a loving creator and be able to let go knowing that he's in control; in life after this one, and really be sure that all this is not just random chance. But can it be proven?
I have Christian friends and they believe the Bible unquestioningly. But my intellect just can't get past the myth of creation, to begin with. It's just not credible. If you can give solid proof, I'd convert in a heartbeat.

Intellectually, if someone could provide reasonable answers to the most significant questions....
...they would not be on this forum,
they'd be out in the mission field.
I never thought I'd see the day that cyber-missionary work was so needful.

IF someone could provide reasonable answers to the most significant questions and objections I have about Christianity I might think about going back to it.
However having spoken to various Theologians I have as of yet to be swayed.
I welcome discourse about religion as long as it is civil and intelligent

I'm honestly not sure.
I'm going to go right ahead and admit that there's a big chance I still wouldn't though. I think part of me thinks that I deserve to go to a hell if there is one... I always found it easier to suffer than to be happy. Part of me just doesn't want to give up the things I love that Christianity would force to me see in a negative light.

I would never become a Christian. I might become a theist in that case, but never a Christian.

Sure, give me reasonable answers, but without quoting the Bible!

If you admit there is a God, then you are morally accountable to that God for your behavior.
