i have long african american hair and I was wondering how to achieve straight silky smooth hair with movement.I just brought the chi hair iron what products to use with it to create this look

ok this is what i do....
1. if you are capable of applying your own relaxer then do so
2. to get the smooth silky look ...u should use John Freida's Frizz Ease serum....it keeps out frizz and its non greasy so it wouldnt make your hair greasy....

It's actually very simple and it doesn't matter what products you buy. When you rinse your hair after shampoo/conditioner, use the following rules: a) rinse three times longer than you think you need. This gets rid of all the filmy stuff that makes your hair look dull b) every 30 seconds or so, make the water cooler. Cool water causes the cuticle of the hair to lay flat, and that will make your hair shine a lot more c) allow your hair to air-dry as long as you dare before using hair dryer, steamer, etc. The less heat your hair is exposed to, the healthier it will look. If you buy straightening grease and put a LITTLE bit on each piece you straighten with a hot comb you can get it....but I suggest you get a perm with a beautician and then you can straighten it until your perm gives out....and go get another one and repeat

hot comb and frizz ease is the best way to go... don't put chemicals in your hair its too damaging, unless you get a deep conditioning treatment every week

u can stay natural just buy a really good ceramic flat iron and some good straighting gel...i need to go buy myself one too... my sistas hair looked really good when she flat ironed it

Girl what you need to do is stop tryna be white and be pround of your hair in its natural state. Black women to day need to embrace the beauty of their hair instead of thinking negative, nappy, my hairs not good enough i have to try to look like something im not.
