Well assuming that its a good grip on something round and sturdy enough to hold me for however long, i would rap my legs around it and try to maneuver my way to the ledge or Cliff or whatever i was going to fall from, so i would have to say as long as it takes. I have too much to live for just to drop. If i did fall it wouldn't be for lack of trying. I wouldn't let go (not pourposefully)

well, if it was a real situation, i would get a burst of adrenaline. So i would stay longer then normally. So probably like 5-6 minutes, i guess.

Gosh that doesn't bear thinking about.With no foothold i doubt i'd hold on very long,but with fear probably longer than i think.
