SHEESH!

I'm 18 he's 29. Everyone's always like, "Can't he find someone his own age? Eww. What's wrong with him?"

Jesus! I mean we just happened to click. We have the same interests and goals and get along really well. Is that so terrible? damn!

I'm sorry our relationship offends people, but I'm happy and there's nothing I'm going to do to change it.

ScubaDude are you insane? Almost old enough to be my dad?

How many 11 year olds do you know that have kids?

Sweetheart...people have always had issues with the age gap. You are always going to be looked on weirdly about it. I promise. But if you love each other...who cares what others think. You are of age to make your own choices. Screw the rest of the world and be happy.

Before I got married to my hubby who is a year younger that I am I dated a man that was 50 when I was 23....it isn't about age...it is about feelings and respect!

No there's nothing wrong. People don't understand relationships at all. I've dated people from all parts of the world and many (I mean MANY including my parents) don't understand why I do that. I don't even bother telling them because they think it's not right or it's weird.

If you think it's right and the guy understands the situation then by all means do what's good for yourself. But you need to understand that the guy shouldn't be boasting that he's dating a younger girl. What you don't want to be is a trophy girlfriend. He also needs to understand that people are going to be mean and criticize you for it. He needs to come to your defend/ rescue you from all that crap. If he can't do that you'll eventually end up with someone else.

Dating someone from a different age group (by more than 5 years) usually requires a LOT of patience and statsistically a difference should be no more than 5. Or else the breakup/divorce rate becomes higher. But people have pulled it off. Just remember, the needs will be different for each age group and being older he has a JOB. Job is stressful and you need to understand that life is not just a bouquet of roses and there's work to be done. If you can help him out with his life and he can stand up for you. You two will just be fine!!!!

Just remember it takes two to tango. In good and bad ways.

I was getting the same sh*t when i dated someone considerably older than me. I didn't care either, we connected better than anyone else i've ever known. I like dating older men, if you get lucky they actually know what they're doing and aren't into playing games. But if you aren't lucky you get the ones that have mastered the game if ya know what i mean. Sounds like you're alright...don't pay attention to idiots that automatically judge you because of your actions. Judgemental people never did a damn thing for the world so don't pay any them any mind. If you're happy, screw what anyone else thinks!! You're the one that matters anyhow!

Because that's not right. Eleven years is a big difference when the younger person is 18. Science proves that your brain is not even done developing yet and is not capable of full, logical reasoning. Obviously that is the case here. I mean, the guy is almost old enough to be your dad!!!!!!!!!

The offense is more than likely with your friends your age. Teens do not understand life yet so when something different presents itself they think it weird.

Pay them no mind. Continue with your relationship. Once you are older you will find people a lot more understanding and excepting.
Regardless don't let them bother you.
If he loves you who else really counts?

Well, why are you telling us here on Yahoo Answers? We don't have a problem with your relationship, we don't even know the two of you. What you should do, is tell all this to the people you're talking about. If they don't like your relationship, oh well.

What may offend people is how long this has been going on.

If you just met him yesterday....than good for both of you.

If you were under 18....he's a pervert.

Since you're already upset.......a mature person wouldn't have a temper tantrum about what other people think about her boyfriend.
