Do you believe people can have psychic powers? Especially channeling spirits or "entities"? Is that the devil?

Are psychic powers that run in the family the result of a curse, because the family has a history of doing witchcraft and the occult,
or can they exist even if the person is a Christian?

The entity would be "pleidian"? (I don't know spelling) or "Ain Soph"
information recieved was regarding May 5 2012. Got me interested in psychic stuff. Started off cool, got really scary. So now I am confused.
Oh yeah I was doing a lot of crystal at the time. Since stopped.

I believe we are all divine.....and that "psychic abilities" are just listening to the "God" within all of us who is all-knowing. If everyone took enough time and effort to meditate and listen....they would be amazed at what they would hear and know (that others would call psychic).

My other belief is that the Devil or Darkness, is simply the absence of God (or Light). The Devil is not a "thing".....
For example, when you turn the light on in a dark room, the darkness does not "go away" (it is not a thing). The darkness exists only when the light is not there.

So therefore, seek for answers and look for guideance from higher sources and you won't have to worry about the dark (or devil).

Just my thoughts.....

At first I was thinking about giving you an intelligent answer but then I read the extra details. So first you need to clarify and not mix up your question with belief from other religions.

Now psychic powers , channelling and witchcraft is not Christianity so keep the devil out of it. Paganism is not a religion that recognizes the devil as an entity, but we do recognize psychic power etc....

The devil and Christianity......only when christians are confused about something will they state that is was the devil. It is just too convenient, so pls if you want a clear answer/explanation separate and clarify your question.

I don't know for sure about "psychic powers". What kind of psychic powers, for what, doing what?
I don't think it's possible to channel spirits of dead people. Everyone who dies goes to either heaven or hell and they cannot leave either location. If a person is channeling a spirit it is a demon spirit.
I do believe that their can be generational curses on families but all of that stuff can be broken by the power of Jesus.
Different denominations believe different things about whether Christians can be affected by demons. I don't know which is right.

every human being can be trained to use their psychic powers to some degree. it has nothing to do with the devil, it is simply part of the human experience and is most in evidence between mother and child. sylvia browne is one of the best known psychics and shes a life long catholic. there are no curses, thats total foolishness, channeling spirits or entities seldom is real, mostly thats a matter of crass commercialism and a con to get money.

These psychic powers does run in my family, and channeling spirits, no devil involved, Ghost usually don't hurt you, or can't, Spirits that I communicated with were nicer than most people I've known. I consider myself a Christian, even tho I feel I DON'T need a religion. It a spiritual gift from God.

Thumbs up! Psychic powers are from Satan, and so is witchcraft and the occult. And yes, some satanic powers can be passed down because of generational curses, something the Old Testament talks about. God says he'll curse four straight generations (160 years according to the Bible) if one parent messes with satanic things, such as this stuff.

i believe everyone is psychic to some degree .. we are all intuitive ... i dont know any woman who hasnt experienced this in some way with her children
if that is a curse then i will gladly be cursed
i am a psychic/medium ... and no one in my family has a history of witchcraft
and if it is evil .. i will eat my husbands socks lol

I believe it's a demonic spirit. Have you ever seen someone with psychic powers be able to tell you your future but they can't predict theirs, it's weird. But back to the question, I do think it's of Satan. The Bible mentions people being psychics and sorcerers and future-tellers. I'll have to look it up to tell you where it is.
