Use a smoothing creme or gel (I love Goldwell's Flat Marvel or ISO's Tamer gel) to blow hair mostly dry with hands then take small sections using a large paddle brush to dry starting at the back. Then use a ceramic flat iron to smooth out the rest of the way & control frizzy ends. This is the best way to straighten your hair & should last a couple of days. I usually dry mine before bed then iron it the next morning. Also try shampooing less. I will rinse my hair very well because most products are water soluable & then condition it if it's not too oily or dirty. There are also some really good chemical straighteners a stylist can use on you.

I am a stylist. For at home straightening, I recommend the Paul Mitchell Flat Iron. Little pricy, but worth it. Another good one is the CHI, however; I prefer Paul Mitchell, because unlike the CHI, Paul Mitchell gives temperature settings. If you have fine hair, you don't want to straighten over 350... Also, use a thermal styling spray (Aquage, bumble and bumble Does It all spray) to protect your hair against heat damage. Your alternative would be going to the salon for a relaxer, which you will still need to Blow Dry with, or Japanese straightening, where you're looking at $100/hour and typically takes 5-8 hours. Hope this helps

You didn't say how curly or wavy your hair is. If its natural or a perm. If your hair is as important to you as mine is to me please go to a salon and speak to a professional. Some people cannot straighten their without some damage, especially to the ends. You don't have to get your hair done their they have a way to check to see the healthiness of it and let you know if you should proceed. There are straightening kits at Walmart. You do have to comb the whole time the straightener is in your hair. Good luck!

Pure Shine is a product that you can find on walmart or wallgreens and it works really good. You might want to get it straightened for a long time then you have to go to a stylist.

Easy. Get a Chi Strightener and go from bottom to top, in area's though, don't try and strighten it all at the same time though. If you want it to stay stight, then use a de frizzing surem from Frizz Free.... That should do it!

you didn't say how curly it is, but blow drying helps, and i use a bigbarrel curling iron to smooth it. i have curly hair and it's impossible for me to straighten it completely. you might want to try john frieda's frizz eaze-think i spelled that right, it straightens my hair the most.
but if it's humid, forget it!!!! frizz city!!
