Cheeses that freeze best are brick, Camembert, cheddar, Edam, mozzerella, muenster, Parmesan, provolone, Romano and Swiss. Blue cheeses are more prone to becoming crumbly but they'll still taste good.

Yes... you can even use it fresh afterwards. Cheese freezes better than people think. Hard cheeses freeze better but Camembert should keep for about 3-6 months. It might not be as creamy at the latter end, but if it's for cooking it should be fine.

I buy it on sale and freeze it all the time. I even buy the bags of shredded cheese and freeze that too. I've never had a problem. Make certain it is in an air tight package. Good luck!

Cheeses can be frozen but the direct guidelines for doing so are:
Try not to touch the cheese with your hands directly, place cheese in as close to an airtight seal as possible, zip lock bag or such and then place it in the freezer. In some cases the freezing may heighten the attributes of the cheese and make it tastier.

Camambert dont htink either of us is spelling it correctly!! I'd be checking websites as they are already made by a culturing process would you not just eat it and buy fresh when you need it for safety sake? hard cheeses yes my sister does it all the time and it is fine when thawed but to be on the safe side use within a week. Cheese what a great word!

Yes, ripe camembert cheese can be frozen. Freezing cheese is not recommended however if you do, freeze in small amounts of less than one-half pound and no thicker than one-inch. Wrap well or place in tightly sealed container.
To use frozen cheese, thaw slowly in the refrigerator. Thawed cheese may be mottled in color. Frozen cheese is usually crumbly and more suitable for cooking than for serving to guests or using for snacks. As long as you intend to use it for cooking afterwards then there is no problem freezing it.♥

Freezing
The delicate texture of soft cheeses with bloomy rinds may be altered by freezing, but the taste will remain intact. You might want to use leftover pieces of Brie or Camembert in a soup or a salad! If, however, you freeze them for a short period, make sure they are carefully wrapped in aluminium foil and place them in an airtight freezer bag. As with all types of cheeses, it is important to cool them before freezing, and to allow them to thaw slowly in the refrigerator, letting the cheese to regain the humidity lost while frozen.
Neither the taste nor the texture of meals cooked with previously frozen cheeses will be affected.

Yes, but always look at the sell by date. It is usually well in the future,so you wont need to freeze it. Keep chilled in fridge.
If you enjoy good quality cheese like I do, then it wont be there long enough to worry about freezing it!!!!!!!!!
Make sure you enjoy it with a good red wine.
